Odi cricket is boring and dead. Only maybe team like Bangladesh takes it seriously as they have players for this boring format as they don’t have temperament for tests or the firepower for T20s. Still they are a mid tier team lol.

But i don't think that is the reason why he takes it slowly. The last over maiden was needless. You should still take singles.

Bangladesh playing Champions Trophy ahead of Srilanka and Windies is the biggest scam. Both are far better sides than Bangladesh if they can pull their T20 mercenaries into the side.
 
Looking at Today's match i have to say Shami shouldn't be playing CT. He is not even 20% fit. Continue playing Harshit Rana and Arshdeep. It is not an important tournament. Arshdeep, Rana, Pandya, Axar, Jadeja, Kuldeep will do world of good.

Despite all the preferential treatments from ICC and being the richest cricket board, India have won 1 ICC trophy in 12 years. That too against choker South Africa.

Ever since Ishan Kishan smashed their midget bowlers for 200, Bangladesh have been terrible against top sides. Much worse than SL and WI.

Their best ODI bat is still that 39 year old grey haired bat Mahmudullah .

And they have no one available in domestic either. Awful , talentless nation.
 
Gill reminds me of a poor man's Babar. Steady accumulator but without Babar's ability against the bigger sides in ODI WCs.

In T20 cricket , you don't. In ODI cricket , your youngsters don't even play the format even at List A level, so again, you don't have the players.

In the last 2 yeasr England played 2nd highest number of players. Total of 37 players played ODI. They have tried everyone. This is the same side that is going to play CT as well. They struggle against teams with decent spin attack.
 
Shuffling your batting order in every ODI is kinda dumb imo. In T20, it's a different story altogether. In ODI, changing your order constantly means guys don't get settled in their positions. India have been doing this since the Sri Lanka series and I don't think it has worked out for them.

Rohit KL and Kohli are all playing on superstar quota currently.

Since SL serises? Lol This is the first series after SL series. India hardly played any game since then.

It definitely doesn't work as they have failed to win any ODI trophy since 2013.

They should learn from Australia how to come up with a side that can win ICC trophies.

The ball was doing a fair bit at the start and now there is plenty of turn on offer. England assessed the conditions poorly and bowled too much short stuff. Had they taken out India's top order this would have been a trickier chase for India
 
This is what happens when you value arbitrary milestones over winning the game for your country.

Kohli has set a very bad precedent with those knocks he played in the world cup.
 
Poms need to learn how to bat whole 50 overs , if they had done so , they could have got another 20 runs
