They got a bit of luck with the dismissal but nobody can be sure the other way either that there was no bat at all. Was 50-50 and went the WI way this time.

He just been the usual luck that the batsmen get here and there.. he didnt say any chances have been dropped etc I think you miss understood his point.
 
Australia is The team to beat in knockouts. Just because green tinted glasses are ruining your judgement doesn't make it a truth.

If the on field umpire gives it out that's 50-50. The third umpire got it plain wrong. You can only overturn decisions on conclusive evidence, and there is no one on this planet that can prove conclusive evidence based on the replays.
 
Another poor innings where he doesn't carry on after eating up vital deliveries. Please just dump kaptaan's friend back to no 4.

In my opinion if Pakistan gets to the final then they will be more dangerous but lets see if I am wrong.
 
Been observing Rahul takes lot of time to get ready to face the ball! That's fine for Tests when everyone are relaxed! But in ODIs you got to be on your toes... It also affects the overrate of opposition (besides hampering own strike rate)! Ridiculous! You don't have to concentrate so much, you got to keep everything ticking... That's when even scoreboard keeps ticking... And then he is between attacking or defending, and then he has all those T20 style shots! Strange guy really!

Good delivery but Rahul was a bit casual there.

All that luck in the start only to make a meal of it. Seems to have the genes of Pakistani disappointments like Umar Akmal and Sohaib Maqsood.

Yes I agree shuld not have been over turned but umpire thought there was enough evidence and when I looked at it also thought could be bat on it but I would not have overturned the decision.

98-2 is not pressure - Rohit already got 2 100s and dhawan also had 1 who is obviously a miss for India. In short no undue pressure on kholi.

What you would have done or not done doesn't matter, it wasn't 50-50 as per the current rules it was a wrong decision.

IPL is not international cricket. Same holder will be just bowling for money and nothing else, it is also played in home conditions for Indian players.

I actually think it was 50-50 because for a moment i also thought there was bat on it. On this occasion Umpire thought in his opinion there was bat tomorrow he will change his mind hence 50-50.
 
Barring spongy bounce, the pitch seems quite ok for batting.


Hope we score in the region of 300+ to be on the competitive side.

Team's batting is virtually held by Rohit and Kohli as Dhawan is gone.

In such scenario, I just wish there was a space for either DK or Pant in the middle order.

If rohit continues to fail then it will be massive pressure. Look who follows next after him. Only pandhya can bat that too he is a hit and miss player.

Mate anyone can think what they want, if I think I can fly and jump off a building I ain't gonna fly as much as I think I will. Rules say conclusive evidence needed there wasn't any. The umpire didn't even look at the 2nd replay, just gave it out. It's an incorrect decision stop defending the indefensible.

the default is the batsman should get the benefit of doubt....the 3rd ump did'nt refer to on field and just gave this as out...there was enough doubt to rule it as a 50-50 decisoin....hopefully it will not come to bit us in the back

I am not defending I already said it was an incorrect decision which went WI way. But it was 50-50 in a sense that umpire thought he was sure Rohit hit it and I cant argue with it because I am also think he may have hit it although difficult to prove.

I haven't been able to watch the entire match but from the glimpses I have seen there have been plenty of edges falling short or a little bit away from the fielders. Just now Kohli got a top edge while hooking which went to the boundary.

India is a vastly superior team of the two. In such cases the weaker team needs these things to go in their favor.

This is the number 8 team versus Kohli, the ODI GOAT. One edge not carrying would make the weaker team want to scream in frustration.

This is why its an incorrect decision - however its 50-50 in a sense that this time umpire was convinced he hit it but another day he wont.

Only you seem to have seen these edges falling close to the fielder, the top edge fell atleast 30-40 yards away from the nearest fielder, if that's luck then every ball is lucky

His commentary audio clips can surely be sold on Amazon under Baby products section! Trust me he can make more money out of it than in commentary box.

Thats due to luck but all teams will get these kind of luck! Not all edges of WI batsmen will find the fielder either.

Nope all I do is blame ipl for every I'll that has befallen me and criticize players I hate when they fail and go hide under a rock if they do well.
 
We're missing Dhawan terribly in this WC! Big match players like him can never be replaced by nervous Rahuls or Shankars!
