India [268/7] defeat West Indies [143] to win by a comfortable margin of 125 runs in the World Cup

West Indies is capable of chasing these. Indian bowlers also capable of defending these, so second innings will be tight

i hope he's played his last match in a blue shirt....at least in the WC....he's just a product of the hysterical chest thumping useless indian media hype machine that has made hyped so many hacks to superhero status....

Pant is an FTB. He has no clue how to play moving ball.He will be a disaster on pitches like this. Plus he is a poor fielder and don't bowl.

he's still better than v kulsener s and k sobers j....considering that SD is injured, he's the best option.......i'd still back him to play that classy innings that will define some match....that said...he's still scored heaps in the wc...something kj and vs havent....

There is difference between losing early wickets and still score 237 and playing with 40-50 strikerate in all the innings you are to play regarless of situation
 
So we are losing this one thats dad considering we messed up Afg game, we didn’t realize how much we needed Dhawan , he was converting his scores.

The conditions are more asian like in this world cup especially in the middle phase of june and july.

Hats off to West Indian bowling. There was hardly any rubbish balls from most bowlers. I can say 80% of the balls they bowled were really very good.

Well atleast we beat Pakistan even with these buddahs in the lineup. Can't really ask more from these guys.
 
Dhoni is a master. Holding this innings together and making sure they get to a competitive score. Whilst our seniors are complete wastes.
 
we all moan about Saffys captaincy...do we know the reason for Braithwaites bowing in last 8 overs when Holders 5 bowlers have done well
 
Why Indians players wait till they get booted out to retirement, Dravid was an exception. Almost similar to our politicians.
 
I have seen dhoni bat in this ipl and he was in very good form and he played at a good strike rate against top bowlers,I am suprised he Hasnt carries that ipl form in the world cup.
 
Why are not trying for big shots with only 5 down is unbelievable...u need atleast 10 an over ,there is no intent

Holder still has nightmares of AB taking him apart at the death. Poor guy has been at the receiving end too many times.
 
Carlos bairthwaite conceded 60 runs in 6 in last game. Why does he keep on bowling?
 
Biggest takeaway from this match....and WC so far....india can't afford to have VS and KJ in the same team.....blocking one specialist spot.....good that this is happening against wi......we gotta get combo right in the big burn games....
 
DK is the best guy against these slower ball specialists, raw pace bowlers, He has wide range of shots.

Exactly and I hope shastri and kohli realises this before the match against england.
 
I think the reason they are playing shankar is because in case the third seamer pandya goes for runs,shankar provides and alternative seam bowling options for the balance,maybe thats why kohli and shastri are reluctant to drop shankar.

After Yuvraj singh and Old Dhoni INdia is missing players to dominate pace bowlersIt is always down to Kohli or Rohit or Dhawan.
 
If MSD scores a 50 and India manages a win, the FB twitter feeds will be flooded with some cringe-worthy phptoshopped images & even cringier punchlines.

After yuvi and raina, middle ones have been tuktuking in all the matches ,you would never expect someone like raina to tuk tuk in most of matches..need to blood some youngsters for middleorders
 
Just saw that our next batsman to come is Shami! :D I would take Thala's 50 ball 35 runs anyday of the week with this pathetic tail to come. Let him play the support role to Pandya and take us to a decent defendable total.

I dont think we have but regardless,we have 4 reglar bowlers and pandya and jadhav to see of 10 more...thry can always play specialist batsman like prithvi or pant but these guys mentality and selections are always opposite of what you expect
