As I said earlier dont write off Shaheen Shah, Rohail Nazir and Hassan Khan yet.
PAK19 should be allowed to bat again to make match more interesting![]()
Is this the future of Pakistan cricket ?
I can see shades of Hockey in them
Miya geere .... magar taang ooper !!!!!
Time will tell. It is good to not over react in a bad loss or good victory. Generally Pakistani cricketers mature a little late in time, so miya taang oopar kiyay gire hon par uthenge bhi unhi taango per.
We are still minnow, so no shame in that ..... but .....
The context was U19 WC, not IND, PAK or BD. I know these countries better than others, so it comes. Afif scored a matching winning 70 just day before yesterday against ENG team, while chasing. Rest part or your post only time will tell.
Gill has beaten PAK single-handledly.![]()

They dropped him and missed runouts multiple times
Gone were the days when "Pakistan meh bohot talent hai"![]()
Glad that our kids took the revenge of CT Finals. Hopefully we will see less reminders about CT Finals on PP at least till next Seniors World Cup!
Oh yeah sorry. The drops and runouts were more for the opener. He was dropped on 99
Irfan Pathan and Ishant were physically gifted than Nagarkoti and Mavi? See the way these two are moving in the field and taking catches. We never had any fast bowlers as athletic and fit as these two ever in our history. And Indian pacers losing pace is an old story. Find me one pacer who debuted after 2012 and slowed down.In fact there are examples like Bhuvi, Bumrah and even Sangwan who increased their pace. Look at Khalil Ahmed himself.Dude was trundling at 120s last world cup and is now a 140 + bowler. The support system and mentality in Indian cricket has completely changed and you will see more such kids in coming days. Not sure to be honest - it's not about how good you are, rather there has to be an spot open. Shaw might get a call in Test side, because opening slot is loose, but Gill is a middle order and behind Iyer, but he'll be in squad for sure. 6/7 years back, there was another fantastic kid (Manpreet I believe, 2010 WC), still couldn't make the team & his time is gone I guess. On contrary, Dhawan & Pujara were top scorers of 2004 & 2006 - it took Dhawan long, long time because of Sehwag, Gambhir, T'kar, but Pujara & Rohit made the team quickly. Three pacers, I am not sure actually they are better than what already is there. Remeber, IK Pathan was a sensation at U19 level, so was Ishant and they were physically much gifted than all 3 here. Normally, I have seen Indian pacers starts with a bang, then couple of years time decides to prolong career rather than going for pace. Not sure any of them will have long career for IND though - Agarkar was similar to Nagarkoti, but he could bat and had lot less competition. I think, 2 batsmen has the best chance here.
For Musa, it's almost about luck - whose who, so can't tell. Besides, kid looks much older than his official age, hence what we are watching might be his peak speed - if so, he won't go much further. Jamshed Ahmed was more skilled than any pacer on display today and he was 6'3"+, bowling at least 135K - couldn't find even a FC career after winning U19 WC.

You are comparing an U-19 match with a ICC champions trophy final which was seen live by 1.5 billion people across the globe ?
What is good here is the fact that despite people telling us that India doesnt care about playing against Pakistan, the fact is that the general Indian public wants matches to be played
None of the Pakistan Batsman crossed 18.....hope they understood meaning of U-19 correctly.

I am talking my sy about height - fitness you can develop through training & diet, but can’t grow height.
For the rest part, opposite example is VRB Singh, Shami; but may be its changing.
India has produce some great cricketers from under 19 system. Kohli, Yuvraj, Dhawan, Pujara, Rohit. Hope that trend continues.
Height doesn't mean physically more gifted.Just Youtube Vince Carter's Dunk of Death over 7 2" French center, you will get to know that.Ishant or Pathan are not even half physically good as Nagarkoti neither they bowled this fast at this young age.And VRV Singh is history and that is why I said pacers debuting after 2012.And Shami losing pace? Did you even watch his fiery spell in the third test? He was easily clocking 145 kph there.I am talking my sy about height - fitness you can develop through training & diet, but can’t grow height.

Why dragging? If it has changed, better for Indian cricket. Ishant is 6’5” and at debut (Bangalore), he looked faster than Nagorkoti; Nagorkoti I read 5’8”- if you think it doesn’t matter for a fast bowler, so it be.
Revenge for the CT eh? So what exactly was Pakistan avenging when they beat India in the CT final? All the defeats before that, I suppose,
Please refrain from making brainless and idiotic posts like this. Exhibiting one's immaturity on the internet is never a good idea.

Island clocked 130-138 during his debut against Pakistan, it was against Australia did he clocked 152.6 kph also, no Nagarkotti is way more athletic than Ishant and pathan, hell even mavi looks plus over both at under 19 level.
When he says physically "gifted" he means something that they have not developed - gift as in gift from god, not developed. Small men if they work out can become stronger; if they run and run and run, they become faster and get more stamina; if they practice a lot, they become better at what they do. Despite all of that, whatever they do, they will not become taller.
Man just thinking about the margin of defeat in a final gives me goosebumps. 158 runs is a massacre in a normal match, it becomes ten-fold in a final. Much more accomplished teams than Pakistan haven't done that to anyone over the years. Even then we have a clown on PP who thinks that was a fluke. Unbelievable. Most PPers think that way (1 CT win > all Indian World Cup wins because of the margin of defeat. Hence I thought today's victory is similar and hence revenge)

Emotions aside, Pak U19 just had a bad day on the wrong day. They are not as bad as the score suggests. They did beat a good South African side just a couple of days ago. There will be a few good players from this side that you'll see in the senior team in the years to come.
Often people react and make judgment based on a given day's performance, but reaching the semi final in a highly competitive space is not something to sneer at.
While the Indian team was the better one on the day, I can visualize some of these Pakistani youngsters maturing more in the years to come and represent their country with pride.
Cheers and Peace!
He was dropped on 99
