Or serve India confidence that they can win despite an amazing start by opposition and under lots of pressure. India will raise their overall game against Pakistan matter of honour for both teams.
 
The fact that HK got so far only shows how overhyped the Indian team is. These guys talk about their ranking but 100/0 by an associate team is something to be embarrassed about. But as always...Indians will stay Indian and come up with the most absurd reasons rather than admit their team isn’t what the ranking suggests.
 
Looking at these two batsmen. I think they will be comfortable to hit against spin as compared to pacers so they need to attack Chahal in rest of the overs.

Khaleel should play tomorrow and both bhuvi and shardul shud be dropped. If the mauling of Kuldeep and Chahal doesn't give confidence to Pakistan's batsmen then nothing ever will. I hope India plays Manish pandey tomorrow.
 
Would be an amazing moment for HK if they win.

Also love seeing India lose. If not today then they will definitely lose tomorrow.
 
HK will need singles plus one boundary off every over. Tough to do but if they can do this for six overs more it would be amazing. India will probably just spread the field to force singles.

It's no big issue, teams used to play twice in 2 days all the time until a few years ago. And 10 out of 11 are playing after month(s) of rest. That India's ordinary batting and bowling got exposed shud be the only concern.
 
These batmen look Fawad Alam type to me. It is beyond there capabilities to hit against pace it seems.
 
This has dampened the party time of trolls in this thread.

This win will hurt India in long term. A win always covers up the middle order issues of India.

actually not a bad idea. It can also be considered as rest for Bhuvi. See how Khaleel bowls tomorrow and then choose one of Bhuvi and Khaleel for the more important games in super 4
 
HK leaving themselves with too much to do but a valiant effort.

A lack of batting quality after the openers has cost them.

Seriously, this shows that the young talent needs to be inducted right away. Relying on old had been and never been players will never improve the team.

Even Pak realized it and blooded in a lot of youngsters in the recent past and they are slowly on their way up.

And the "recently" with Zim that you are talking about was back in 2015/16.

Not really, the fact that India were pushed to their limits by Hong Kong and let them have a 170+ Partnership gives people enough material to troll.
 
I am actually happy that India won. World cricket needs cricket to survive in India. The whole Indian contingent was in hiding when the team was being taken apart and not having there took away all the fun. Imagine if HK had won today, cricket's funeral would have been done today in India.

The Indian fans are already stressed and depressed. Good to see India winning. However, this stops here. Indian team needs to be exposed fully so there some hope for the like of Gill, Mavi and Shaw. So InshaAllah, Pakistan to win tomorrow. Amen.

Like their keeper recently got licence to fly for Cathay Pacific. He is a fulltime pilot and a part-time cricketer. They announced this during the Pak match.

All members of their squad have a different day job and only play cricket for fun and games, yet they restricted India to 285 and then ran them close to 259 without getting all out.

I hope Hong Kong team mixes in some guys from Hong Kong dragons and forms a strong enough team to compete with the likes of Afghanistan, Bangladesh.

They humiliated India today so they are not pretty far.
 
But but we are told by PP experts that Sharma is a better captain than Kohli. No way would the game have gotten this close if Kohli was playing.
 
A more experienced team at one stage needing only 7 an over with so many wickets in hand would have won. But that lack of experience counted against Hong Kong.

However they will have learnt a lot from these 2 matches against India and Pakistan.

You could have a donkey as captain and still expect the Indian team to destroy Hong Kong, maybe they were having some AC issues in the hotel when they arrived in the UAE?

It's been mentioned previously that these are all guys with full time jobs. Imagine for a second that they were able to spend all their time practicing and cricket. Why not merge the HK and China sides? Beyond me why no one is working on making China a key market. That way even if India is in hiding you have another large country watching.

I know many see Kohli as the best thing since Jesus walked on water and turned water in to whine but this is not about him or Rohit Sharma, India should not be getting spanked from genesis to revelations by Hong Kong, a school cricket team literally with no international experience at this level. We saw what Pakistan did to them.

They already have Hong Kong dragons which is filled with native ethinc players and they recently played with Japan.

I am not disputing that they should be winning easily. In my opinion had Kohli been playing , it would have been an easier win.

With or without Jesus Christ and Moses India should be smashing Hong Kong to bits so bad that they don't want to play another game of cricket again, it's just embarrassing. It doesn't matter who the opponent is but when you have Jesus and Moses in the line up it will help you regardless but that's not a factor here on any level unless India is some minnow and to be fair perhaps you're onto something in that sense

Why Hong Kong captain asked Inida to bat first ?

Strange decision by Rath, was he trying to provide Indian batsmen with some batting practice ahead of the epic clash with Pakistan. There was no other reason to ask your team to filed in hot and humid condition .

One a serious note, this should tell everyone India's current status in cricket. Poor selection, poor coaching staff, numerious amount of in-out players, this is going to be a disaster. I would be really surprised if India ends up in the final.
 
I was out and following this game and thought Hong Kong could pull off a huge upset. Shame it wasn't to be :(
