Nope. Pitch is slow but not that slow. Our Batters just don't want to improvise and learn new things. They want pitch flat and with bounce. I.e. Wankhede. Even then they fail to counter new plans by bowlers to slow them down. 2014 t20 final is biggest example of not adapting to opposition plan.
I think, most Indians are playing safe here

, but team isn't that bad to b honest, certainly not in ODI, and definitely not in Asia.
Remember, this is their first game in a new country (not sure how many have played ever in UAE), and this hilarious schedule has put them on back to back game in this heat, when they could have easily swapped Wednesday & Thursday fixtures - and then both AFG & BD will play very next day!!!! I think, Indian players have taken this game as a net session - getting used to with the pace & bounce of the track, preserving energy for the big game and trying few options - no way KL should sit out for ATR & DK to bat at 3 & 4

Also, when you play professional game all year round and know that you are playing against a faaaaaaar inferior opponent, it often just don't come out. IND knows they can defend even 130 if it happens to be the requirement, therefore I felt batsmen just lost focus & hunger.
These type of games actually don't help anyone. I understand the requirement of expanding the game, but put anyone - HK, Nepal, UAE, it'll be same. Ideally, they should make 2 tiers of Asia Cup - main tournament with 5 teams and Plate round for next 5; that'll serve emerging teams much better than this, when they are several level below in required skill level & professionalism, just to compete.
