Pakistan and Sri Lanka have both played a cruel game on both. From being favourites to top the group, India and South Africa have to battle each other for survival. The number one ODI team in the world and the defending champions could have their tournament end in tears whilr the two LEAST fancied teams in the CT ('much worse' than Bangladesh for some) will be playing a deserving Semi-Final.

Well done to both Pakistan and Sri Lanka, who have fought the odds and can enjoy the tournament now in a spirit that has literally spit in the faces of all the arrogant fans of the top 6 teams.

Sadly true, congrats to both Lankan and Pakistani fans while no one gave them a chance, they have bounced back.

India in particular have been put in their place. They seem to think that no one can beat them. Great to see their arrogance being knocked for six by a total hammering. RSA are not cocky or boastful like India and it's fans are.

I rate Sri Lanka's win over India as the best win in an Odi match, that was brilliant batting, no risk taken at all, calm and calculated chase.

I would go as far to say that SL's win over India is better than Pakistan's over SA. Even at the half way point you would back India to crush SL. They pulled it out of no where.

i hoped it could have happened but Pak n SL cant both qualify in any case... .... but wat a win today....

a slap on the face of a "few" indian fans who were physically abusing pakistani crowd by throwing beer glasses on the match day....

Quite True, Srilanka has some of the finest batsmen, their shots were amazing. That six of Bumrah was the shot of the tournament

If you are talking about some die hard IPL fans who think IPL will turn mediocre cricketers like Pandya into Gary Sobers then you are right. Indian team isn't arrogant but some of our fans are.

I think its the Indian media who talk them up as being the best off all time full of greats. Not every India fan is arrogant but yes most are even though they are not even ranked number one in one dayers. I have no problem with the IPL, not interested in it at all. Its the likes of Shastri and Kohli in particular whose faces I loved to see after India were smashed. I like Manjrekar and Ganguly who are much humbler.

Frankly this is not such a bitter pill to swallow. At least it keeps our team on its toes and honest.

Could very well turn out to be a blessing in disguise not just for India but could actually propelled SL cricket forward coz this would have boosted their confidence a great deal and also it throws open our group.

Finally we are getting to see some very good games which was really the need of the hour. SO congrats to both SL and Pak for providing such wonderful displays and making it more interesting.

What a turnaround of fortunes!!!

Heartening to watch this, that's the Pakistan and Sri Lanka we know.

Sad to say this but I think India are in real danger now of getting knocked out in the first round, South Africa are not going to mess it up this time.

I don't care one bit and if India gets knocked out too coz we weren't that poor and in a wider sense it will force the selectors to make some necessary changes to our loi squad.

And on the other hand with the next game being a knock out could actually help us coz primarily SA are a bit poorer during these situations and also playing in Cardiff where the pitch is on the slower side and not a road as this one will play into our hands. Also SA recently haven't been playing the spinners as well.

All in all just hopeful that India turn up victorious on Sunday.
Cheers.

We were awful today. No two ways about it, although it was rare day of our bowling not clicking but our slow batting didn't help either.

Credit to SL and Pakistan for the spirits they have shown to forge a win amidst all odds stacked against them.

Actually funny thing is if rain plays spoilsport in both these fixtures then it will be Ind and SA qualifying.

Indian fans brought back to earth. I don't think anyone else over estimated India like their own fans...

Not true brother if you see in the last 19 games in the ICC tournament since the SA game in 2011, we have won 17 of them and just lost two. So you can see why we have such confidence in our team because it is a really good outfit and come Sunday we will trounce SA.

Going to see two thriller matches coming up.

Hoping there is no rain in Cardiff on Monday. If Pakistan plays up to the level they played against SA they're going to be tough to beat. Just need to dump Hafeez for Haris.

I wonder what the weather is gonna be like. That is the first worry.
