As India sweeped the series with two innings wins, with the latest day/night Test ending in the favour of India as they defeated Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Sunday, the glaring gulf between the two teams was quite visible.
India bulldozed a waning Bangladesh on the third day of the second Test, thanks to Umesh Yadav’s five-wicket-haul to record a 12th home series win in a row. The Virat Kohli-led side completed the job in less than 50 minutes, after Bangladesh resumed their second innings at 152/6, trailing India by 89 runs. Barring Mushfiqur Rahim (74), Bangladesh batsmen were once again found wanting against the Indian seamers, folding up for 195 in 41.1 overs.
