Never rated the current Indian batting line up compared to the likes of Sehwag, lakshman, tendulkar, Dravid, ganguly, dohni, this batting line up is not a patch on that bar kohli

Kohli himself is barely on the level of Dravid in tests. Dravid averaged like 59 in his peak. Kohli average's 53 atm which is the same as Tendulkar's final career average after 2 dreadful final years.
Pujara is worse than Sehwag, Ganguly and Laxman. As for the rest...lol
There is no need for the excessive celebration from Pakistani fans.
India is a top team across all formats and will remain so for at least another decade.
We must not forget that India has been fielding 4 rookies in their batting line-up. Barring Kohli, Pujara, and Rahane, the rest of the Indian batting unit has not even played 50 tests collectively. Still then, they are not getting demolished like other teams outside their home.
India has been dominating at home and very competitive overseas. This is good enough for a team to be called a great team. This is just a hiccup. I have no doubt that the same team will win series in every country in the next 10 years.
India also missed bhuvi and pandya who would have added balance in n.z. balance is key. ishant also missed the second test. 4 new players. So considering all these factors it was a good effort. You guys are forgetting how good bhuvi is in swing conditons.
I don’t think they lost a home test series in the eighties. They had arguably the best green wicket bowler in history, supported by some effective seamers, and a competent batting unit. And that was before most of them were professional cricketers.
