India have proven that they are the best all-round team in ODIs in the world

Too many overconfident fans thinking about final when we still have to beat an improved Bangladesh team.

Its funny people are bringing England here. Let them first produce some results. They couldnt win the CT at home in 13 and failed to make it to WC 15 Qf losing vs Bangladesh. Yes they have made a transformation after that but what are the results away from home for them or let them first win something in big tournaments then we will talk.

They are playing in conditions most conducive to them and if they dont win they are inferior to Aus and India. If this tournament was in Aus or India, I would back these two to win in their respective conditions. At home, even NZ are invincible and England are yet to win at home.

Australia have beaten most teams at home and have beat England away. There batting has more power than India and there bowling is more potent.

England may not have an icc tournament but I think they are a better side than India.

You will find all sorts of fans - intelligent, blinded, arrogant, time pass.... you cant educate those. As long as players dont think like that it should be fine.

To be very honest it also points to the fact that pitches have become flatter all around the world and India with its traditional strength of batting along with improved bowling is turning in better performances.

Our next bilateral tour to SA and NZ should be interesting to check the performances of this team on such conditions. We lost 0-3 and 0-4 (with a tie) during our last trips there and pitches there are not overtly batting friendly (have to say that the home batters thrive though..not surprisingly). SA usually produce spicy wickets for ODIs to prove a point (not complaining...it is their prerogative) and India has to do decently on such wickets to be considered an improved side all around.

INDIA ARE NOT THE BEST ODI SIDE PERIOD !

We've dropped down a lot since 2013 . Don't think any one TEAM is the undisputed number one now.

Bilaterals - SA, Tournaments - India, Most dynamic - ENG and AUS are kings on flat/fast ODI decks.

After 99-08 Aussies, India from 2011- now are the 2nd best odi outfit of alltime.

The 2011 team and 2013 to present team are miles apart . Can't group them as one. This present team has its roots in the 2013 victory , while the 2011 team was the final hurrah for the batch of 2003 .

If India is the best in Tournaments that is all that really matters.

Well rounded team is one which as all the bases covered, I haven't followed england's matches in this tournament but I have a perception of their bowling being very weak, except mark wood I can't think of any other decent bowler. Also England has been blasting their way out of trouble, but that strategy won't work on a wicket like today where you have to grind it out to score runs. If the wicket is completely flat then I guess England will bat the opposition out of the match but if there is even a little bit of help for the bowlers or just a bit of slowness in the track then I see them struggling to put up a decent total. Also their spin bowling department is weak too, they have relied on a simple strategy to win all matches, it will be interesting to see what'll happen when they face a not so batting friendly wicket.

Coming to India- India's batting is stable and reliable but not explosive, our bowling attack is good but can go for runs on completely flat tracks, we got good pacers and good spinners, fielding has not been up to the mark till now but overall the Indian team is more balanced than England. It would be an interesting match under the right conditions but could even be anti-climatic

Spot on analysis once again, I predicted correctly about the fate of both australia and England :srini

Once again proving that we are the most well rounded side in the tournament, we can win batting first, we can chase big totals, we can restrict the opposition, England relied on tullaybaazi alone, Pak relies on restricting the teams by bowling first, we have the team for all conditions :srini
