The H2H favours Pk for now and with the infrequency of games, India may never change that. However, if they played Pakistan regularly at the moment, India would change the H2H VERY quickly.

No one can seriously deny that India would win 8/10 tests and 8/10 ODIs against the current Pk side. But fortunes change and at some point Pk will again be in the ascendancy. India should not wait for that quirk of fate and rack up wins whilst they are (almost) assured.

Do you seriously think that teams want to play each other keeping 100 years of H2H record in mind?

WI has won 30 tests and lost 19 against India. Do you also suggest that India should play WI frequently to improve H2H record?

A very different dynamic. Indo-Pak cricketing ties are not managed in the ordinary way which will see India balance out weak historical records against teams in this current era of India strength.

Do you really think that BCCI cares about historical record spanning 70-80 years? I don't think they care even against Pakistan.

Its all about politics.. cricket is high profile.. other games go under the radar but when it comes to cricket, the nationalist govt in india doesnt want to lose any political points. Even some of their former cricketers are against playing pakistan. The hatred runs deep there..

Indian team doesn't need to prove anything to anyone. It's been a better team for quite a while and it doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon. If pakistan starts winning regularly against big teams and are in sustain their ranking Top 3 teams across the formats for a sustainable period of time, Maybe then it would compel India to play against pakistan.

H2H records are meaningless. Our fans cling onto it as it is the only thing we really have over India.

India should play a series with Pakistan in UAE but not for the reasons you mentioned. It's a shame that Kohli hasn't played a single test against Pakistan.

There is never gonna be a resumption of Indo-Pak Test and One day Cricket. I am happy with that as a Pak fan, no problems at all.

It seems only Pakistanis care about this meaningless H-H record. It's becoming funny now.

H2H in test is just a 3-0 win away, India is capable to do that in Uae or India both. But we dont care otherwise we would have been leading by now.

In ODIs its not possible in current scenario.

Pakistani team is going through transition after retirement of thr stalwarts
No need to play against ths weak Pakistani side jus to better H2H record
No one give damn to any victories against ths Pakistani side apart from ICC tournament... that is why BCCI and most of the Indians were so disinterested in asia cup

Cricket has little relevance when it comes to India-Pak relations. Taking advantage of a weak Pakistan and getting ahead in H2H isn't even a thought.

H2H means nothing in bigger scheme of things. Ask any expert from any part of the world, they would all say Indian cricket is on a different level to Pakistan in every format.
