Should we have an all-rounder or go all specialists? The AR might be helpful in the shorter formats but I have seen tailenders doing well with the bat in LOIs before.

Specialists, AR go for runs when you ask them to bowl. They may take a wicket or two but often they are expensive.

Yeah makes sense. Specially if the pitch is flat a low skilled AR can cost us the game.

Say if we have a C contract pure AR only for LOIs. Bowling skill of 60 and Batting skill of 60.

Does that make better sense than having a pure bowler with Bowling skill of 75 and Batting skill of 10?

It does not feel like a huge compromise. And on a flat pitch even a pure bowler will go for runs.

Batsman with AA....that's what I feel.

prefer bowling AR with AA contract :afridi.:bhajji
A : 1 bowler + 1 Bat
B: 1 Bowler + 2 Bat
C: 2 Bowler + 2 Bat.

Having an all-rounder on the AA is an interesting idea, will surely think about it.

I guess 3 sc must be 1 pure allrounder 1 batsmen and 1 bowler. In the team aa should be bowling allrounder with both a type as genuine batsmen and rest all depending on the conditions where we are going to play.

The first match of the series will be played on a fast bowlers pitch, second match on a spinners pitch, third match on a neutral pitch.

Not sure of having too many ARs in the team. Will certainly give it a thought though. Thanks for the suggestion.

The big game will be on Saturday. The November 9th deadline is for squad submission.

Good that you have downloaded the sim. We would need an additional guy in future who can sim the matches in order to give [MENTION=53377]jeetu[/MENTION] a break. Feel free to reach out to him for any questions about the sim.

We can play only 2 SCs each game so one will miss out. For example, [MENTION=143316]shady[/MENTION] is reserved for turning pitches but might get a few games on neutral pitches too (though I am not sure at this point if he is comfortable playing for India).

Now we need to figure the contracts. The AA will go to either Dauntless, Creed or Tusker depending on what I decide after further pondering over (if I can't arrive at a concrete decision then maybe I will take it myself :D). An all-rounder on AA can also be useful as Smbhayi and Teshi suggested.

At this point I am thinking of putting Tusker on the AA. With him and Giri bowling in tandem, we will have those Pak batsmen for breakfast :)

Adding to rules.

2 Contract changes will be allowed after the conclusion of Test Series and ODI series each.
3 Player types changes will be allowed after each series.
(for example batsman into bowler , AR etc) , bat hand , bowl hand etc)

Boosts -
I am keeping it short this time.
Both teams are given 3 temporary boosts per series type.
This temporary boost will give a contract upgrade for that match only.
AA player will be Supercricketer
A will be AA
B will be A
C will be B

These 3 boosts can be all used in one match or separately. (any combination will do)
For example
Match 1 - 0, Match 2 - 2, Match 3 - 1
Match 1 - 1, Match 2 - 1, Match 3 - 1

To make it more interesting , these boost request will be sent to me Snip.
These boost request needs to be sent just before lineup deadline for the match.
I will confirm it on forum when i will receive the boost request.

C contract is reserved for senior citizens like you, me and [MENTION=135839]Smbhayi[/MENTION]. Youngsta beauties will be on the higher contracts :D

But since you have shown up, I will think about it. Please be active on this section during the series.

Guys, now that contract changes and player type changes are allowed in between the formats, I think let us stick to the specialists for the test matches. We will think about the all-rounders after the test series.

I guess if we could replace a batsmen with allrounder it would have made the team more balanced.

But do we need all-rounders for test matches?

We are going to be allowed three players type changes before the shorter formats so I think we can change a few players to allrounders then and stick to specialists for the test series.

Ok I think I will make myself the all-rounder. This saves us one player type change for the LOIs that can be used better.

@ Moh@n i think the team we have now is almost perfect. However it is slightly bowler heavy considering that our most likely choice from super cricketers is going to be a bowler. The team balance would be better if we have a pure allrounder in b category than a bowler as we are most likely to have 3 bowlers from top 3 categories already.

So I think we can go with one batsman and one bowler?

Yes i thought only one sc player was allowed.
So this is the team we need to completely destroy the pakistani team
 
Looking at the Pak team's contract distribution, their pace bowling attack is pretty weak. They only have one decent fast bowler (who is an SC). All of their other fast bowlers are either on C contracts or have low bowling skill numbers due to them being allrounders. Their batting and spin bowling attack looks good though.

They are going to choose a Dry pitch for the first test, which is going to be quite flat and great for batting.

How do we use our boosts? I think we should boost either a couple of batsmen (so that we pile on big runs against their trundlers and all-rounders) or maybe one batsman and one bowler as bowlers are going to find the going tough on this pitch.

Thoughts?

Why would you want to do that when batting is your strength? Imagine what our fast bowlers would do to your batters on a Devilish pitch.

Batting paradises are your best hope, but sadly for you, I have my plans in place to counter them as well. :)

Looks good except that I am going to go with giri instead of shady for this one.

Shady plays the next test for sure.
