Arey bhai, let the active guys get some game time. Shady has unfortunately not shown up yet.

Moreover, Tusker would be a great spinner and he will bowl the max number of overs anyhow. That's the reason I put him on the AA contract.

So simulator automatically gives more over to better bowler?

I don't want weak link in the attack.

Even in real life cricket the spinners bowl more overs in test matches compared to the fast bowlers, so I do see Tusker bowling many overs.

Hey guys, sorry for being away for a bit, excited to be a part of this. Not too sure how it works though, if someone could explain it to me.
 
We managed to hold our nerves in a thriller of a test match and as a result are 1-0 up in the series.

Suggestions for the pitch for the second test please. It's our turn to choose and I am thinking Spicy.

Normal pitch.Lets keep this simple
 
We need to go in with good batting line up and don't put high contract players on top, with spicy pitch the sim tends to make 2 down pretty quickly.

Good point. But it's going to be a rank turner as per the attributes of the pitch so the higher contract batters at the top of the order could smash their pacers a bit maybe? And anyhow on a Spicy pitch batsmen are expected to struggle.

Will need some deep thinking but I will figure it out :)

Rank turner should hold us good advantage. We have a off spinner as super cricketer and tusker can be upgraded as to sc as well. Napa in addition will be enough to take their wickets easily. I play as the pacer along with someone else too maybe and rank turner should mean good chance for reverse as well.

Pakistan have got a very similar bowling attack - an SC spinner and an AA contract spinner.

So we are now 1-0 up in the test series boys.

Came down to some fantastic pace bowling to shoot them out for a low total in the second innings after conceding a 40 run lead, followed by a blinder from [MENTION=129922]Smiling Creed[/MENTION] and [MENTION=133998]Azzurri[/MENTION] holding his nerve in the end.

Wonderful result. On to the next one now.

The second test ended in a tie, so we are still 1-0 up with one test to play. Which means we cannot lose the series now.

Normal/Bouncing combo chosen by jeetu for the last test. Thinking of going with the same team.

We have run out of boosts though but it doesn't seem to be making much difference.

Let's win this test and make it 2-0!!
 
So we ended up winning the test series against Pakistan 2-0. Was a brilliant series winning team effort. It could have been a whitewash if not for the tied second test :)

On to the ODIs now. We can make a contract swap and a couple of player type changes. Any suggestions would help.

Lost the first ODI so the next one is a must win.

It's our turn now to choose the pitch. Since the Spicy pitch did not work, I am thinking of going for a Flat pitch.

What do you guys reckon?
 
Lost the second ODI too thereby losing the series.

I had played six bowlers on a flat pitch, thinking the sim would be intelligent enough to read the match situation and give more overs to the bowlers who are bowling well, but that didn't happen as the sim just kept on giving overs after overs to the spinners who were getting hammered. Napa and LMS could have choked them in the chase had they got more overs. They ended up having incredible figures considering the pitch, really wish they bowled more.

Nonetheless, it's time to redeem ourselves by winning the final ODI. I think it will be a Normal pitch like it was in the final test match, so let's get brainstorming about the playing eleven and the batting order.

Lost the first T20 but I have an interesting idea for the second one.

Since it is our turn to choose the pitch, I am thinking of a Normal or Dry pitch with Turning variation. I like this idea of giving them the headache of choosing between DFK and Greenstorm. Either way we would benefit.

They have been having it too easy thus far.
 
Chose the Dry/Turning combo.

We scored 350 on a Normal pitch in the final ODI that we won. Dry should be even more batting friendly than that as it sits between Flat and Normal in the pitch hierarchy.

They can play only one of DFK and Greenstorm. If they drop DFK then we don't have to bowl to a gun batsman on a good batting pitch, and if they drop GS then they can play only 2 spinners on a turning pitch. So this suits us either way.

While we can go all out with our three spinners plus the three gun bats.

I think this is our best chance to keep the series alive. Let's win this one!
