May be I would have asked for a Leg Spinner SC but AA is equally impressive. Because 2 SC can be in Playing XI. When we have to play #14, we either drop #3 or #10.
Cant drop #3. And dropping #10 will mean a weaker pace attack.

We have a good batting lineup, a good mix of specialist bowlers and batsmen. We bat down to #9. Have good spin options and pace options. I favoured the specialist spinners a bit more because of the nature of the pitch (considering it to be similar to the UAE). Unless we are thinking about reverse swing and switching out an allrounder for a specialist pace bowler?

I think we should go all guns blazing in the first match, take the lead in the series. Maybe use 2 boosts?

I have never seen this happen before so it's a very strange and surprising thing for me to digest as well. I was waiting for SC since the start of 2nd innings. Was surprised when [MENTION=137118]Mir jibran[/MENTION] didnt take new ball.

This very observation was basis of my question wrt Contract changes between matches. Because our SC bowling wasn't used ( or wasn't needed i thought).

This is a tricky situation. Currently its 55-45 in favour of Team Pakistan but still a long way to go. I think the match should be resimmed. Couple of queries though :

What happens to Toss if we resim ?
Can we Reshuffle batting order ?
Can we renew contracts ?

In my opinion we should go ahead with the match, as it’s the first match after a long break and many new players have joined in. Regardless of the result let’s keep the spirit alive and complete the match.

We can sort out the error in the next game.

Or we can declare this as a practice game, let’s wait for the kaptaan to have his say. I recommend continuing the match..

I think I Agree and plus we are in a good position winning the toss was important we may not win it again and also we are in a great positon at the moment.

When he posted on the match thread that he hasn't bowled yet in the innings, I was surprised because more than 40 overs have already been bowled by you at us so far. He being an SC, should have opened the bowling and this didn't come to my notice somehow.

I then decided to check the remainder of the match and saw that Jibran has not bowled a single over in both the innings. I have never seen this happen before so it's a very strange and surprising thing for me to digest as well. I have put a word across to [MENTION=53377]jeetu[/MENTION] asking him how this has happened.

The current match situation is known to you. Now the ball is in your court. [MENTION=141804]QalandarFan[/MENTION] [MENTION=138411]EngrOmair[/MENTION], you need to decide and let me know if you want to continue playing this game.

If not, then obviously the match would need to be resimmed. Jeetu will take the same line ups and boosts and test the results before sending the commentary across to us for posting.

If yes, then you would need to accept any of the three possible results that this game will end up at. No pleas and requests of resimming the game would be entertained if you decide to go with this choice.

When your SC is a specialist bowler, you still should play at #10. SC at #11 gives false impression that he is unfit. I think that is he reason why sim didn't bowled [MENTION=137118]Mir jibran[/MENTION] who as a SC had higher batting skills as compared to specialist bowler AA.

I will recommend SC bowler to bat at #9.

Dry you have already seen in the first test.
Normal is decent balance between bat and ball.
Spicy/Devilish = Tough batting conditions.
