This is what I was talking about RA last match at Delhi to pick Kreza for S Clark.

Amazing what a good over from the other end does ... great first wicket for Krezja.

Wall is blasted :D Getting out to a debutant first ball for his first wicket.

I always notice that the Aussies get really heart felt happy if their spinner takes a good wicket. But i think credit goes to bishen bedi for his free training to kreza

Major disaster averted there with 2 quick wickets.

The only real positive from this tour has been that the young players have done well, Watson has taken wickets, made runs, White has taken wickets (as innocuous as he looks he has not been destroyed), MJ has taken the most wickets in the series.....Krejza has looked decent this morning despite the runs.

I personally put the entire blame, the whole blame and nothing but the blame on Brett Lee :D

2/99 from 18 overs

Brett Lee has shown loyalty towards India. We like him. He has come home to mama asha bhosle to sing along lullabies

Has any captain ever been penalized for over rates in test cricket, not ODI cricket but test cricket.

Whats wrong with Tendu? Indians are going after Kreza like a monkey on a cup cake :D

Courtesy: Raymond

6 overs behind the rate already.

We are slightly in front now with 3 wickets and 2 new batsmen at the crease. And we need time to win this game so India scoring quickly is in some ways of assistance to us.

Krejza have been really impressive so far. Funny how he was terrible in the tour match, but have managed to impress at his debut match.

Now its Kreza going after them.
Kreza does look a good spinner. Slowish runup, nice loop, imparts a lot of revolutions. all he needs is a doosra.

Most importanly, ball is turning sharp with some bounce. I reckon, Harbhajan will be pretty handy here. Watch out Ponting :D

Ponting Gaya :))), he shouldn't even bother to pad up

There wasa plenty of this type of talk before the series but ponting has batted well this series.

This is Harbhajanish wicket. sharp Turn+bounce. If he fails to get Ponting out here, I say power to Ponting.

Huge responsibility on hayden in this match to survive till spinners and unsettle harbhajan. If India gets hayden quickly, it will be a problem for them.

He wasn't tested on any pitch that had bounce and turn. But if he can score on this pitch, i will agree that Ponting is kind of batsman that can score on any type of pitch

It's a long way off before the Aussies bat...

He has a Test average of 58 over more than 100 Tests.

Doesn't really matter who rates or does not rate him, the record speaks for itself.

A few comments on Cricindia about the over rate, all from Australians. Glad I am not the only one who is unhappy with it.

Good to see Useless actually took a couple of wickets. If we can roll India for below 500 I reckon we've got half a shout.

Re RA the over rate is disgraceful. In Sheffield Shield cricket they can bowl 90+ overs in a day, no reason Dubya can't with only 3 quicks and a spinner.

If you look at pitch, it is already starting to tear out, so i say anything above 350 is like gold

Totally agree with the comparison with the Windies in the 80's. They were absolutely lambasted for their over rate (people were obviously pissed off for a variety of reasons) and in fact had rules changed because of their dominance.

Team nowadays can bowl 12 overs and hour and there's nothing said. It's ridiculous.

lo and behold ... a maiden from Mitch

For all Sehwag's aggression, India rarely capitalise on it.

Edit - and a maiden from Krejza, India maybe have decided attacking him not such a good idea

Usually Tendulkar and Ganguly seem to have a bit of attacking instinct in them, but with 3 wickers down I think even Tendy is a bit cautious.

Get Useless off - he's going for 7rpo.

Mate, imagine what Litte Angel and Mishra will do on this pitch if Useless is taking wickets...

I'm going to bed. 2am here and I need to get up in 4 hours. Cyaz all tomorrow.

Some crap bowling getting punished. This is why the Aussies have struggled this series; they haven't been able to maintain a level of pressure over a period of time.

Spot on ... for every good ball there's a couple of long hops!

Much like :Sami

4 byes ... Haddin might lose his spot after this test too.

Deserves to go, has kept poorly and not made enough runs.

Prefer Ronchi thanks. We don't need another bloke who makes 25 (60) in the lower order.

Makes sense ... but I don't think it'll happen. Haddin is going to have an extended run with the keeper spot unless he gets injured.

He has had 7 Tests. That's long enough. Dropped catches and conceded more than 10 byes in an innings in every single Test match he has played so far I believe.

Fair enough if he is keeping well and not making runs but he is not keeping well.

Why can't we get Tendy out???

When have we ever been able to get him out?

That's it from me for today, got soundcheck now

Goes without saying we need more wickets today...

The superstar back on to bowl after his 4 awesome overs this morning
He's bowling at Watto speed today. I donno if its a purpose plan, but I don't see him having much success in this test match either. Where's Tait???

How fast is Lee bowling? I thought he was back in rhythem when he was hitting 145-148 km/hr easily in the previous test.

Btw he in an interview said his marriage is not the reason why he has been bowling poorly, he admitted he had no idea how to bowl on non supportive wickets in India.

Bowlers O M R W Econ
*JJ Krejza (ob) 11.5 1 74 2

Getting the treatment after snatching 2 huge wkts

Pretty damn slow ...

From cricinfo:

33.2 Lee to Laxman, no run, fuller, 136.7 kmph delivery just outside off stump and Laxman shoulders arms
33.1 Lee to Laxman, no run, Lee starts off with a 135.1 - he has been pretty slow today on the radar - around mid 130s- length delivery outside off, Laxman shapes to play it on the up but doesn't connect well

I have no idea why Krejza's bowling an extended spell here. Does Ponting really think he's going to pick up another wicket?

bcoz he has picked up two wkts early in the game so if he picks another by giving away some runs its worth it

krejza seems to give a lot more flight to the ball than modern spinners, of course that tempts the batsmen into going for their shots more, his figures so far 2-81 off 13 overs. 166-3 (37) decent run rate

Sumptuous on drive by tendulkar off lee, now moves to 48, 173-3

Boy werent the Aussies so damn lucky to have Mcgrath, Warne, Gillespie in the same team.

Gellespie i feel still had 3years of cricket left in him before he was dropped

wouldnt rate gillespie as high as the other 2 but absolutely right about warne and mcgrath. krejza with tidy over 2 from it 175-3

saw earlier on tv. this is australia's 700th test match, they have won their 100th,200th,300th,400th,500th and 600th test matches. India are doomed if you believe in omens

too many 50's for Tendulkar.its about time he converts this in to a 100
