Please don't retire Misbah. You are the only true batsman in a team composed of wannabes.

Misbah is showing other batters in his team on how to make mince meat out of this crappy Indian bowling. Brilliant batting by him so far.

Congratulations on India's first win of tour Australia !

Something very cheap in Hindi. Won't say it. Can't believe this guy will captain India for the next 5 years.

He didn't say anything to Afridi, was letting off steam. In fact even when he was hit badly by a Pakistani throw while batting, he was smiling.

Feel sorry for Misbah.
Best ODI batsman in the Pak team by a mile. Rest are pretender but he has been the real deal.

Respect for Misbah for staying till the end something some selfish and never leaning cricketers need to learn.

Expect Savak to bring up that idiotic 24 ball theory to blame Misbah for this defeat.

Wow. Brilliant!

Loving it! Good to see someone playing good cricket!

You know and I know if it was our batsmen it would NOT have been given out. Stop with the double standards.

No I DONT know this. Please show me evidence or shut up. How on earth can you even make such a statement?

Are you saying umpire's are intentionally favoring India? Again evidence please?

And what's with the "we" part, pretty sure you are not an Indian

Been watching the match on and off in bed as I had some trouble falling asleep. When you're chasing a big total the temptation is always there to try and take risks from ball one to keep the req run rate from getting too high. But nothing slows down a run rate more than losing wickets, especially in the middle period when you should be able to consolidate and score without taking too many risks. You don't need to throw the bat around too early. Sometimes you have to grind it out, keep your wickets in hand and then hit out at the end. Australia did it yesterday, SA did it today. Granted they weren't chasing but the point remains.

Sometimes dot balls happen when bowlers bowl well. Ashwin bowled a good spell, it happens. If you have to block it then you have to block it. If you get to the last 10 overs with 6-7 wickets in hand and you have good hitters down the order you can chase down 8+.

Pakistan went about this chase all wrong. Played too many risky shots early and the wickets lost completely stalled their momentum.

As for India well played, Kohli in particular was out of form and gutsed it out to score what was probably a matchwinning ton for his team. He played lots of dots but didn't panic and trusted himself.

Due to Misbah's defensive captaincy, we could not score big in first 10 overs. Now players got out due to high run rate pressure. :yk

Because a lot of Pakistan fans are morons to put it bluntly.

But it's the same on any national cricket forum they are always hypercritical, and this is the Pakistan one.

I think they are in love with the Afridi mentality. Afridi's 37-ball century was the worst thing that happened to Pakistan IMO. It made a whole generation of fans focus on the wrong thing.

There weren't any risky shots up first by them mate.....I think you were dreaming

Misbah hitting fours and sixes in a fruitless chase. All so familiar. I really feel bad for this guy.

Should have watched have an inferior team in Zimbabwe approached a big chase against superior opposition

If Misbah wins this game, it has to be the best knock in history of cricket.

Shame Pakistan lost a couple wickets too many I reckon 107 in 10 is gettable with wickets in hand. The two ducks didn't help.

Misbah ain't winning anything. He is only good at winning the hearts of opposition, at least in ODIs.

Misbah's last 2 innings have been very good compared to his usual standards. Very good strike rate.

History will show that he scored a 50 and Pakistan lost.

Never mind the three heroes together scored total of 20 runs aka Akmal, Afridi and Maqsood.

BCCia and Umpires have made it favorable for the Indians, But My man Misbah cares a sheet about these Bakwasness and favoritism. True Sportsman

I suspect Misbah has a stamina problem. He loses concentration in the 60's and 70's and gets out to tired shots. Why not use this golden opportunity to score your first century?

kAPIL dEV'S 175* AGAINST ZIM IN 83 WC SEMIFINAL INDIA DOWN 5 FR 17 BUT I'LL GIVE IT AS THE BEST IN INDIA-PAK MATCHES FOR SURE.

Against Zimbabwe but vs India must be Bigger than anything.

AFRIDI SHOULD HAD NLY STUCK WITH MISBAH very good batting really and India even in ur dreams can't take 10 wickets against any opposition.

it wasnt a semifinal ...

and did you see the innings ?? coz it was telecasted anywhere not even taped ....and i doubt you were even born in 1983 to see it in stadium ?

He should get out now. People are talking about NRR as if we are going to qualify. We have seen their performance against NZ and umpires have made that even worse.

Mohit's effort seems to have slipped under the radar. He brought us back with his economical bowling.
