he is a good lad.... saw him bowling near 141 and constantly around 136 -138 in challanger trophy.. highest wicketaker in domestic crikcet last year and one of the best bowller in last under19 worldcup
 
Rahul, interesting. The commies were really bigging him up so looking forward to seeing him bowl. That is if India ever get bowled out!
 
Pathan plays like a proper batsman...... great feet movement and standing... his batting stance is of a proper bastman ... i hope that keeps improving on his batting... he is batting very good lately in domestic as well as ODIS

Danish had couple of words (the famous "b" word in hindi) exchanged with Ganguly yesterday. Ganguly dances down the track and smashes the ball straight down to Kaneria's foot. I doubt DADA would say sorry or put his hand up as a gesture :D

I wouldnt want him to either. Kaneria is a big mouth guy who needs to learn a few things the hard way !!!

very unfortunate situation because PAK have no choice but to bowl Kaneria(even when heis getting hammered)
 
another 650runs and declaration on the card from india. but i'm sure this time around Pak will lose. no escape like last time. pathetic display from Pakistan.

BTW Kaneria's average now approaching 34 ... take away those wickets vs BD and it's probably about 40.

Pakistan's hopes of restricting India on the second day suffered a significant blow as Shoaib Akhtar, their leading strike-bowler, will be allowed to bowl only after spending 205 minutes on the field. He took the field at the start of the second day and, if he doesn't go off, will be allowed to bowl at 1.38 pm.

Shoaib, who was suffering from back pain, bowled only ten overs on the first day before leaving the field for the final time after the 32nd over, shortly after lunch. He was taken to hospital for an MRI scan after suffering back pain during the first day of the final Test against India in Bangalore. The scan revealed no injury but he was experiencing muscle spasms.

In the absence of Shoaib and with Yasir Arafat, Mohammad Sami and Danish Kaneria tiring, Younis had to resort to part-timers to help finish day's overs. He brought himself on to bowl and also used Yasir Hameed and Salman Butt in tandem. They bowled 12 overs in all and conceded 50 runs as Yuvraj Singh and Sourav Ganguly accumulated runs with ease against a toothless attack.

According to the laws of the game, if a player is absent from the field for 15 minutes or longer, he shall not be permitted to bowl until "he has been on the field for at least that length of playing time for which he was absent."

We really don't have many spinning options other than Kaneria in Pakistan. There is no point bashing him like we have a big queue waiting to get their chances.

Kaneria is not a match winner. He only performs when he has support from the other hand.

His record is not much worse than Qadir, Saqlain, or Mushtaq. The difference is that these players had Wasim, Waqar, and Imran to partner them.

The Indians have batted us out of this test so we've no chance of levelling the series.At this moment in time our team is amongst the worst in the world and heads must roll if we are to make any sort of comeback.
The fact that at best an average spinner in Kaneria is leading our attack shows how poor our leading bowlers are so we need a clearout IMO starting with the dreadful,injury prone showpony himself!
We're so poor that a once passionate cricket fan like i is losing complete interest in the game because the current bunch don't deserve my support.
Take nothing away from the Indians who at this moment in time are far superior and thoroughly deserve to be victorious.

ur beginning to sound like our selectors..

do recall that Rehman did better than Kaneria is just his debut series ...

we need get off the myth that their is something special about kaneria and let him go pick up wickets in the counties with mushy.

All that you have said holds true for someone like Ashley Giles and not Kaneria. He can bowl every variation that a leg spinner possibly has in his bag. However, he is not accurate enough. Accuracy is something you achieve through sheer hardwork and dedication. kaneria just doesnt know what these are.

His work ethics (atleast by the looks of 'em) are horrible and will remain the same in his career.

kaneria got a flexible wrist and can spin the ball .. aside from that he is a totally uncoordinated athlete ... for the same reason he looks like a drunk while fielding he will never be able to bowl accurately .. he just has no coordination or athleticism.

compare to moyo who waddles around like an old man on the field .. but once he gets to the ball he's very secure. he catches well and he throws well .. and it's because he's got excellent coordination .. and that's why he bats well.

so u see .. kaneria just doesn't have it in him .. it's just his nature .. time to drop him and move on.
 
as someone pointed out mohammad aslam bowled much better than dani boy when they were playing together in domestic matches. even rehman had more success than dani in sa-pak series.

By the way folks i reckon its about time we all dismissed this stupid AAG fantasy that we have in our minds when they always walk around with sore shins,thighs or backs!.I don't believe Akhtar,Asif and Gul will ever even play a test together let alone form any partnerships!.
Allah help us if Kaneria and Sami lead our attack versus the Aussies early next year!

Now think of this guys, imgine you have AAG attack and Kaneria(which is very real and believe me, Rehman may have troubled SA but thats the only team actually he can trouble).. you got 4 talenders who cant make 10 runs in total as a tail(well once in a blue moon scenario forgiven). Add to that the opener issue and you have a full 5+ people in the team worth nothing in batting.. Now can such a team compete with top teams.. May be at home but I am sure it will be hell of an issue abroad when couple of your top bats start to fail against a moving ball..

Inzi is now retired. Misbah has done well in his place.

Razaq's bowling was awful in all forms of cricket for the last 3 years. We are missing a 5th bowler(because of Akhtar's injury), a role that Malik plays.
 
First an edge to the third man for FOUR followed by a SUPERB cut for four !!!

Two consecutive boundaries for Pathan and Sami just seems to be on the verge of tears :))
 
Kaneria cannot even trouble a bits-and-pieces player like Pathan. How was he expected to trouble players like Laxman-Ganguly-Tendulkar !!! :D
 
Good fielding by Salman Butt. Saves 2 runs ! A bit of effort in the field FINALLY by the pakistanis ...
