Sarfraz walks up, calls head, and wins the toss. :yk2

Should he bat or bowl?

Recent History: PAK chased 340+ against Bangladesh (on a modified ground)

Recent PAK vs. IND History: IND batted first and beat PAK by 76 runs (ICC WC 2015)

Assuming the conditions aren't dramatic (complete green track + overcast) I'd say it's best to bat first against India.

Set the total and then hope your bowling attack can defend whatever is up on the scoreboard. I don't think this young team has the nerve to chase anything over 250+ against IND.

On a green mamba/cloudy conditions bowl first.

On a flat pitch, bat first.

With so many passengers plus timid attitude we will loose against top 4 regardless bat or ball first, cloudy or sunny, bouncy or flat pitch.

This. Depends on the conditions. Most of our recent wins have come bowling first though because we simply don't know how to set a target with these snails in the batting lineup

Another thing to take into consideration is Kohli record and ability to chase.

Brain says;

1. If Pakistan bat first, they will not not know what a good score is on the given wicket as they don't have free flowing openers who will play their normal game no matter what. Here Azhar And Shehzad will try to see off the new balls for first 20 overs. In the end they will say we were X runs short.

2. If Pakistan bowl first and India put up 300+ Pakistan will crumble to scoreboard preassure.

Heart says:

Pakistan will win this In sha Allah, batting first or second. India have had their share of success in the warm ups. I will go by my heart.

Bowl First.

If Pakistan bat first than they will think that a total of 230 is a winning total

Bowl first in any case.

If there is a cloud cover, its a no-brainer to bowl first because both these sides have bowlers that can exploit swing in the air and could easily pick 3-4 early wickets and win the match in the first 20 overs of the game.

Let's say there is no cloud cover. And its bright and sunny, well you'd still bowl first but hope to contain the batting side to a 300-320 total, as that is par. 350 is chaseable but you need a batting line up like Australia or New Zealand's that has hitters throughout.

IMO if Pak bowl first, they can win if they restrict India to around 260-280.

If India bowl first, they can chase down 300.

Anyway bowl first is the only sensible way to go.

Weather is so poor that even game may no

Definitely bowl first - high pressure game, nerves will show in the first hour. If we bat first chances are our openers will flop and will be like a deer caught in headlights.
Secondly if it rains there is a possibility of reduced overs with D/L coming into the equation. D/L favours teams chasing. Also Pak bowlers can benefit from overcast conditions so we can do some damage in the first hour or so.
Lastly let's not forget that Kohli is a master at orchestering a chase

India should bat first against pakistan on june 4.

This way we can remain interested in the game for longer , no one wants to see india chasing 120 odd. :ma

Recite Kalma and have full faith in abilities, result of the match, be prepared to give every inch of blood, sweat in the ground for win

Bat first and score 315 or more to have a chance of winning otherwise I don't think Pakistan is going to chase more than 250 if India bat first they are surely going to score more than 280 at least

Bat first or chasing, it shouldn't matter much. Aggression should matter. We should attack right from ball one.

I have a feeling PAK will bowl first due to cloud cover and it won't swing with the pitch becoming flat as a road.

400+ score coming up.

:))

Bowl first. If there is any moisture or cloud cover, it will be there at the start of the match. Plus, India prefer chasing and their record batting first is not as spotless. Pakistan will also take confidence from their chase of 340+ in the warm-up game.

Bowl first and destroy their top-order. Chase down a target of around 200 and seeing how Sri Lanka are minnows right now, Pakistan are into the semis.

As always, if the other team bats first, Pakistan will lose the match. Pakistan is the worst chasing side.

Bowl first so if India do put up 300, it will give Azhar, Shahzad and Hafeez a little kick to score at a quicker rate. (As long as they prioritise their country over their spot in the team)

Totally agree , also may be some rain in afternoon so reduced overs will be in paks favour chasing

The forecast is for rain during the course of the day so chasing might be the better option having a target in mind.

I think it might be a good toss to loose as you never know how things might change over the course of the day.

Rain forecasted. For all the hype we aren't even going to get a game.

Rain doesn't happen throughout the day. Will be a shortened game like 2013's.
