They won't get their, most likely a 175 all out. Will take a miracle innings to get to 300
 
Inshallah, Ravindra Jadeja will continue his prolific run with the bat. I want to see him get to 400 wickets and 5000 test runs over his career.

They've made a lot of changes in terms of how they select and to the championship points system etc. but fundamentally they need to produce better players.

Not sure they have enough players with the raw ability or the infrastructure to upskill these players.

Zero incentives to play Test cricket as well.

These things are not gonna change anytime soon.

Why do you expect him to take a fifer or perform every innings?

Its extremely extremely clear he's bowling rubbish and even his most die hard haters cannot deny this.

Everyone knows that he was bowling rubbish in asia cup as well and excluding his 1st test and 3rd test innings wonder vs England, he was rubbish in the 1st test 4th innings, rubbish in the 3rd test 3rd innings and rubbish in the 4th test.

He is out of form and WI's atrocious batting is masking this fact but even so Siraj, Kuldeep and the rest are kinda exposing him.

In this innings alone, 80% of Bumrah deliveries are either half trackers, down the legside or hit me pies.

Infact he seems to be bowling t20 lines in test atm.

He is out of form (and I'm speaking from a neutral perspective)

He exceeded 100 runs for the first time in his career in the 4th test, went wicketless in the 4th innings of the 1st test despite england having to chase a record total to beat India.

He bowled well in the 3rd test on the spiciest pitch but Archer bowled better and he couldn't stop root from freely scoring vs Him.

Root was dismissed by Bumrah post century.

60% of his deliveries were actually on a good length . They showed it on broadcast. He's not bowling half trackers. The pace is not there though and maybe his line is off at times
 
Good that India has track where seamers take wicekts unlike pakistan where uncle spinners bowl all the overs take 59 out of 60 wickets lol

Westindies have won a test in australia few year ago while they didn't win a single test against India SINCE 23 years :kp

He doesn't really need to bat for india to win this test tbh. India will win this series 2-0, just like how aus beat wi 3-0
 
Bumrah had back issues after bowling non stop in Australia during those 5 test matches. He missed Champions Trophy 2025 & start of the IPL.

England also made flat decks to negate Bumrah, he hasn't got back to his best yet, also in Asia Cup most wickets in Dubai were slow, no help for fast bowlers.

Bumrah will eventually get back to his best with India needing him in away tour of New Zealand next year & in the WTC 2027 final.
 
These two are batting very well, grind it out, make India earn your wicket. Good going by WI after lunch, 54 runs scored for the loss of 2 wickets.

This is good pitch to bat and cricbuzz posted that pitch has eased out too. WI can easily score 200+ if they bat well but that’s a big if. If WI score 200+, Jadeja will have a role with bat.

Greaves played well for his 32.

From what I recall India produced some major rank-turners and dust-bowls during Kohli's captaincy too that aided spinners in a big way. Off the top of my head, the 2015 series against South Africa at home comes to mind.

At the end of the day, the aim is to win test matches. Pakistan need to temper their approach based on circumstances/oppositions but on the whole there is nothing wrong with preparing pitches that accentuate your advantage over visiting teams.

India always had seamers play a big role. Shami, Umesh were champion bowlers in India.

I don't really think you can compare the seamers' role to the role Ashwin and Jadeja played. I'm sure Jadeja alone has more wickets in India than Shami and Umesh combined.

Seamers played an important supporting role but India's domination in the bowling department was mainly because of spin and Ashwin- Jadeja combo
 
WI play like they don’t care. I suggest ICC dismantles their cricket board and instead give an opportunity to individual Caribbean islands to participate. They may play with more passion

No I don’t find it boring when we smash teams

Particularly Australia, England and nz.

Unless it’s too one sided but normal level thrashing is fun.

So yea West Indies all out under 200 is plenty

He needs to earn his pay check too.

If he is fit he should play. Stop over resting him.

He is not god.

He is the goat Asian fast bowler but he must play even if it’s against weaker teams.

Sometimes it’s good to thrash crap teams or average teams to boost your confidence.

That's not a worthwhile suggestion at all.

They don't care about Test cricket anymore and rightly so.

Look at the contracts they have handed out for this year. All Test specialists have been left out , except Jomel Warrican . The rest are all multiformat cricketers or at least have potential across formats.

It's very sad to see decline of Westindies cricket. They had so much legacy but now losing against Nepal , Zim , Bangladesh etc. :kp
 
Bumrah has played 41 out of 48 games vs Sena and still has a Godly average. He doesnt need to bash Zimbabwe and Bangladesh to improve his average.

Having said that he has been off color since Eng series but Siraj has risen up.. it is a team effort so all good!

Any bowler can have that kind of a series, the likes of Rabada and Cummins have numerous such series.

Also, if you have any stat or fact based point which shows he bowled 80% half trackers then please show that.

If this is how he performs when he is out of form then I am overjoyed, cause he hasn’t even beed bad.
