No, what I am asking is, suppose there is impact outside of off stump, ball would go on to hit the stumps, no shot offered you can give it out even though impact outside off? I'm not asking about this particular wicket.

yes,but if it pitches outside leg you can't give out even though batsmen pad up and its hitting the stumps

lucky if we draw one.

he might be right. You have a game in Durban IIRC. You also have a game in Jo'burg these are the two venues India has won a match in SA.

Had we played in Cape Town and Pretoria then i'd be confident.

But i'm still depressed. To think a tour was curtailed for substandard opposition...

I think SA will win both games easily. Indian batting line up is decent but all are newbies. Dhoni is most experienced batsman for India and resst have played 5-10 tests on average.

It's frustrating to see 2 tests for SA. If I am right, tour wasn't really curtailed for WI. They got in after tour was already curtailed.

ashwin is a tailender? Do you watch cricket? :))

yes i do boss. And i've seen plenty of lulloos look good in India. As soon as they travel away and with a hint of movement they start dancing. But will know soon enough what he is all about.
By the way does Harbhajan not have back to back tons in India against New Zealand?

India will definately win in Durban. Probably after having been bowled not under 50 in Jo'burg. But they'll win.
The tour was definately curtailed by the current series no doubt about that.

If we do not pick up 5 wickets today, this might be a draw . pitch is still fairly decent .

Ashwin did well in Australia too

Have you seen Ashton Agar's innings in Ashes?

what has that got to do with anything. The surfaces for the Ashes were dry and slow others were out and out flat. Those type of pitches are conducive to "swing and hit while looking the opposite direction". Of course the tail will succesed here and there.

are u mixing test cricket with one dayers cause there are no lulloos looking good in india in test matches.
once Again i ask u do you watch cricket?

Not only Durban my friend. India will beat Saffers anyday anywhere :)

This man should've scored. No matter which country you belong to, you want Chris Gayle to succeed!

Surely gayle is bk's bunny :)

Let's not behave like some posters here who label Kohli as Junaid's bunny because he dismissed him in a 3 ODI series with 1 catch down the leg side

Even Jadeja dismissed Clarke 6 times in the 4 match Test series recently during the whitewash they received (this qualifies to an extent as bunny because it's a Test series and count is more)

+1. This bunny business is getting boring!

Lets not beat them by an innings.
I want to see Sachin bat again.

BK has got him 8th time now in all inernational cricket, with Gayle averaging only about 10.so its fair to say that

Its unlike Junaid-Kohli where JK has got him only 3 times

We need WI 5 down today to ensure a victory . Can we do it ? just 48 overs left in the day .....

3rd catch dropped off ojha's bowling.

Hmmm... ODI's and T20 very few people remember, Test series dismissals matter the most as you plan and dismiss a batsman when there is no pressure of RR/ scoring on batsman

Not sure why Junaid - Kohli thing is blown so many times here! Maybe because Ajmal has been successfully negated by only Kohli ( where even Amla/ Sachin/ Hussey/ ABD/ Jaya/ Cook/ KP struggled to pick him) so some consolation to feel supremacy over him

no devils in this surface yet . Draw - is it possible ?we just have 42 overs left in the day .

Five more to go Ashwin for 100. Come on go for it. Best since 1931. Just behind Sydney Barnes who got 100 in 16 tests, also made it to Wisden all time team."

Chanderpaul needs to score 100 if wi want to save this match.

LOL at some people calling this a flat pitch, it is not. There is something in it for the bowlers. Who said that a good cricket wicket has to be a green top? Usually it is flat tracks in India, but I am surprised this one has looked good. Sharma and Ashwin got in and got runs, everyone else flopped from both sides.

WI lost the game when they were bowled out for 230 odd in first innings. They needed at least 400. If they had got 400 , they could have set India a 200 run target
