Who would have thought this series will end with India winning only 1 test match out of three? :murali

Thanks to Sri Lankan players for fighting it out and showing some aggression. :angelo

This series was not your typical India vs Sri Lanka series. This Sri Lankan team is improving and will be tough team to beat at home once again. Well played Sri Lanka. Tough time ahead for Indian team. :tahir2

Don't care about wining hearts.

We have won a LOTS AND LOTS OF HEARTS in the past.

It's time to break hearts and actually win games.

As I have said before this Sri Lanka team have talent . The batsmen need to cut out loose strokes. At home they will do well, they have never been that great overseas anyway so difficult to change that. Also need the experience of Matthews and Chandimal to keep up the performances from this game.

SL drew one test match and other was simply them getting lucky. They had lost it totally. SL should be credited for drawing one test.

Agreed. Rain saved Lankans on 1st Test. Otherwise, that would have been an epic loss.

Lankans best chance was on a flat pitch where all Indian bowlers struggle. They drew it and credit to them for not choking under pressure.

This Indian team is not as strong as it seems

Mark my words it might struggle alot in SA :amir2

Is that in any doubt regardless of the result of a series vs Lanka?

A whitewash awaits us, and I'll be delighted if we can somehow draw one game out of the three.

other game was simply sl not getting lucky .it was a freak test match with so many days having washed out .the pressure at which ind batted in 2nd innings knowing that they just have 1 and a half day left in this game and they dunt have to work much hard to draw the game wouldnot have been same had there were 3 full days remaining .pressure on india in 2nd innings would have been much higher in 2nd case .2ndly the alertness level in which a team bats knowing it has oly one session to survive to save a test than if it has 4-5 session to srvive a test is entirely different .team can get a bit careless and take it easy in 1st case .also not to forget sl could have actually win the 3rd test had there been 25 overs more becoz kohli would have anyways declared having 410 to defend .

Yes they have definitely improved. Considering their batting was dreadful in the second game it takes mental toughness as well as ability to come back from that and their batting was very good this game.

So many ifs and buts .....

SL was 7 wicket down within 27 overs in the first test.

How many times SL has chased 400+ runs to win a test match? For that matter how many times all teams have chased 400+ to win a test match?

Yesss ..... the Indians could not get the SLs all out ..... !!!! Remember though, that Cricket is a Batsman’s game,
sooooo ..... if the batting side decides to play out the day, with no intention of chasing the target and send the match into a Draw, not much the fielding can do !!! So they lost the series 1-0. What if they gone after the Indians from the word go, and still lost, would 2-0 look much worst than 1-0, six months from today ???? I don’t think so. I remember what Kohli once said ..... “ I don’t mind loosing a match, trying to win it “ ..... how true !!! SLs may have their own reasons, fair enough ..... but they didn’t die with their shoes ON !!!!

Monumental effort from a team that has been constantly maligned for a year.

May be a turning point?

Srilankan test team was expected to put a better fight especially after they white washed Pakistan in their fortress UAE...so 1-0 against a strong Indian side is kind of expected, nothing extraordinary...could have easily been 2-0 so all they did was play 1 good game...am I missing something or is my heart too small compared to the OP who seems to have quiet a big heart :)
