Several unidentified men in Pune, Maharashtra have destroyed the stores of popular Chinese mobile phone brands Vivo and Oppo, in order to express their solidarity to Indian army.

As per the reports, the attackers have torn down posters of the two brands in addition to destroying their shops. It remains unclear whether store personnel, or any other individuals inside those stores, were injured during the attack.

Bunch of IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. You want to show solidarity to Indian ARMY, stop buying Chinese goods bit by bit , one small step at a time, and try manufacturing all Indian products........

Aqal ke andhoun.aise kisi indian ka hi beida grak karlia tum logoun nei.china nu ki fark paenda hai

The photoshopped deepika padukone looks painfully gorgeous in the oppo ad posters, and motorists have been found to be distracted by it. So not a bad thing if the posters are taken down.

Thats actually

thats like saying stop buying israeli products which is not even possible as the production of items is soo diversed.

For example a phone has many different parts coming from different countries. You got a battery maker, glass maker everyone else seperate

Another slap to the face of self hating Pakistanis who would never dream of supporting their own army by destroying rival nation's phone market with such shows of patriotism.

Waiting for the remarks about how countries should mind their own Chinese business

Stop! You have no right to criticize India.
Don't even criticize Indian cricket team, they are Indian team, only Indian can criticize it.
Unhinged patriotic fools would confuse criticism with foreigners telling them to follow their orders.

As if China cares. They are only damaging their own products.

It's almost impossible to have a civil debate about Kashmir or India because of a few puerile minds on here that consider anything negative about India an attack against it. It's really silly paindu mentality. Debates and discussions should be had to bring people together, not drive them apart.

Don't understand why these so called protectors of India never protest outside the parliament asking the government who actually has the power to ban Chinese products.. If they really care about it so much shouldn't they go the the authorities(GOI in this case) and ask them to get these companies banned? But then why would these goons do that when they are themselves have political affiliations..

What these goons did makes no sense and has no justification whatsoever. But to your point, the trade between China and India is not like water flowing through pipes that you can be turned off whenever you feel like. While the visible part of trade is inexpensive things like plastic toys and phones (which everyone sees and comments on), the biggest portion of trade is really industrial goods like solar power generation equipment, telecom equipment etc. Lot of these categories are covered under WTO. As a signatory to WTO, and as an emerging economic power, India can not unilaterally do things that aren't allowed as part of WTO. Moreover, slowing down import of industrial goods or slapping dumping duties on them will slow down capital formation in the country, which is the last thing India wants at this point.

So boycotting Chinese good sounds great as a concept, but is not that easy to do. Also, high-level of trade is a good leverage against the Chinese. It prevents them from doing anything silly on the borders as can be currently seen near the Bhutanese border. Their media is making all kinds of jingoistic and hysterical noises, but their army can't do squat.

Is that even possible? Wouldn't it be better to just go easy on the jingoism?

There is an even better idea, WHAT ABOUT ACTUALLY ENROLLING FOR THE ARMY ? ..

These so called patriots are usually the kind of losers who aren't even bothered to move out of their hometowns/states for better education/employment .

The poor guy who runs such shops for a living is the only one suffering in this ..

If we were to take out all the Chinese brands from the phone / tv markets, I don't think where the patriots will get their daily dose of jingoistic news and hate forwards from ?

Lol mate I know all this I was talking about the goons rather than vandalising shops and workers in shops (who are Indians) if they have so much problem against Chinese goods why not protest outside parliament?
