You're being modest, Pakistan are the better test team right now. I cant even remember the last time India won a test series it's been that long.

Angry? This was coming I guess. This is what happens when your FC structure is poor like ours. Its not like the BCCI gives a damn either way . Theyre more worried about IPL and Broadcast rights and what not. We have regressed so much in Tests that even SL and Pakistan would hammer us. A sad state of affairs.

Poor lineup iMO from India..

Pujara and Vijay must must be in the iineup - Pujara is out of sorts but he is by far their best player of spin.

Even Jadeja would be an upgrade over Harbhajan at this point....

Great bowling by Herath and a deserved win for Sri Lanka!
 
Unfortunately, it really seems like some people are using this opportunity to degrade the Indian team. Truth is, in almost every aspect of cricket, India is great. I'm not sure why it isn't bring understood that, first, India has a new and inexperienced captain. Second, their squad selection was a bit off. On e both these issues are settled, India will be back up there in the top four. Besides, it was only a 60 run loss - the world isn't over.

agree there plus misbah and younis not scoring doesn't mean their presence doesn't hold any influence ... they make younger players perform ... had dhoni been here indian batsman would have shown more maturity and wouldn't have panicked so early in the chase. ...

And it was because of younis pak won the third test against sri lanka. Still some people think it will be easy for pakistan to replace these two experienced players. After these two pak will be like india too with only azhar ali and asad shafiq as experienced batsman.
 
One thing I will say is that India will find it very very tough to replace MS Dhoni the wicket keeper batsman.
 
It's going to hurt, losses do and this loss is no different. You watch sports to see your team and when they don't especially when they should have it stings! It's same with every sports fans.

I believe India is on the right track but their team selection was not good as far as playing 5 bowlers is concerned. I say that because Saha is not an established test bat and from what I have learned he is not that good with the bat anyway, so playing him at number 6 was a recipe for disaster.

Plus few more things, Harbhajan is past his best, wasted a spot playing him. Pujara is a must. He is technically good and shouldn't be discarded for other

Misbah is replaceable Yk isn't.
 
India were complacent. 1 thing for sure - Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka are declining. Rise of Bangladesh as the number 1 Asian side.

The Indians paid a Huge price for rejecting the DRS !!! What gets me is their logic for rejecting the DRS. Sure, it is not 100%, but so what ??? Does it change a Good Call by the umpires into a Bad Call ??? I don't think so. DRS allows the 3rd Umpire to recheck the action in slow motion, and usually upholds the call by the Umpires. In case of a clear evidence, the call is often Reversed ... so where is the complaint ??? Do the Airplanes always land safely ??? ... yet we fly !!! Do the cars never get into a fatal accident ??? .... yet we drive. So, instead of winning by an Inning they lost by some 60 runs !!! What a shame for the players and fans !!!They may not change their stand, just to keep their nose up, but deep inside they are hurting .... good !!!

The only thing that's rising for Bangladesh as far as test cricket is concerned, is the number of washed out test matches in your country.

BCCI used to oppose T20 vehemently now they are perhaps the #1 supporters of T20. BCCI does not readily accept anything new unless they think it benefits them immensely. Now this one seems to be an ego problem. They have opposed it for so long, so accepting this would mean surrendering their pride. BCCI had lots of Indian fan supporters a few years ago, but that number is dwindling rapidly. I don't think they even have the support of all Indian players. It is only a matter of time before BCCI adopts DRS - maximum one or two years from now.

wow to pretty much dominate a test match for 80% of the game and then throw it away i think this must rank as one of indias most shameful defeats.

He is trying to troll and people here are taking the bait, not long back he was posting Bangladesh have damaged the sport itself and Scotland would have done better. I doubt about the authenticity of such a BD fan

About India, this is only the first test, a better judgement can be made after the whole series about the team's capability

He is the only who even looked like a proper batsman out there. Rahane was batting worse than Shehzad. Can't find the gsps or rotate the strike.

Agreed Rahane should be no where near the limited over formats, he is a test specialist only.
 
I'm angry at our team selections. Binny and Rayudu don't deserve a place in the squad. Bring young Agarwal and Gurkreet in their place. Our bowling, well, it's as usual

Poor captaincy and team selection. Selecting ashwin ahead of one of the fast men was ridiculous. Also, like most of the Indians fans have been saying Dhoni and yuvi are past it but they still keep getting selected. Unless things change not things won't get better.

Bad 3 weeks , I have been saying this Indian team is playing poorest breed of cricket for few months now,they won just bcz others were still behind

Not angry. Disappointed with the performance but that's cricket. It's good for PAK to win like this the rivalry needed to be livened up.

One thing i don't understand is why ppl have been labeling india as the best batting side in the world? their top three are indeed wonderful but after that all they have are hacks and allrounders. Earlier indian team were far better as they use to play with 6 proper batsmen.
 
Not angry at all. We already won the Champions Trophy last time. Pakistan just wanted it more.

It was coming, Indian cricket has been heading towards abyss for a year now, it is the others who played poor for us to be in the finals.Cricket has won today.Amir's career is also saved, he has been humiliated since his return , enjoy this phase guys, India at its worst and PK at its best in a long time ,:wave

I'm not speaking from a team's point of view, I'm speaking from a fan's point of view as to why this performance doesn't anger me.
 
Best team won. Not angry with our players because they just didn't perform on the day nothing wrong.

One exception. Absolutely furious with Sir Jadeja for being selfish and lazy and getting Pandya out, when he was batting on another planet and was bringing us into the game one six at a time. A perfect chanceless innings scoring at 180 or so and it's absurd that it ended like that.
 
There is no anger for me today after a long time .. Its just sadness and I have felt sadness like this after the 2007 World Cup exit but I must say well played Pakistan .. Till yesterday I thought that India would win easily .. Good for team India in a way that they will address some impending problems before the 2019 WC ..

Happy for Pandhya and Bhuvi. Specially Phandya, well done boy.

Absolutely bloody furious with the whole bunch excepting Pandya. Not for losing, but for capitulating completely without putting even a semblance of a fight.

I would have forgiven India if they had been 300 all out. Pakistan would have still won.
Getting all out for 150 something on a belter of a pitch is totally unforgivable.

Thank you Pakistan, for giving our millon dollar celebrities a reality check. You truly deserve your victory.

This is Aaney do 2.0. We still play ODI's on the 2011 template, while the game has moved on.

Cracks that formed over India since 2013 were papered over with some rescue efforts by VK and Dhawan's excellent form. Now they have been truly shown up .

Dhoni won't make 2019, so better to groom someone from now, Yuvi will retire, Ash in ODI's is done, Kuldeep comes in ASAP (leggie, so more useful in any surface), an england like rebuildong must commence.

Doesn't say much for our template which is straight out of the 1990s. You're being too hard on this team, I doubt anyone could have lived with Pakistan on today's form. India will be there and thereabouts again in 2 years time. Can't say anything about Pakistan, however. We've squandered stronger platforms to succeed.
 
I support India - but I am very happy with this Pakistan victory. Congratulations to Pakistan. For a country which cannot play international cricket at home, and yet showcase such talents, it is very important for world cricket that Pakistan cricket settles after the great Misbah and Younis's retirement. It was a pleasure watching Pakistan bowl and bat and field.

India is a strong team at the moment anyway. It is good for them if their cage gets rattled once in a while.
 
Today's loss to WI probably confirmed what many Indian fans have been thinking for some time.

This was a chance to shake up the squad against lower ranked opponents and test youngsters but Indian management have not done so.
 
Lost in such an embarrassing manner and still the players are roaming around in London, with no signs of practice. Absolutely livid at the arrogance and careless attitude of spoilt millionaires.
