Indian media & Zee channel hypocrisy - Pakistani content is allowed but not Pakistani actors?

Zee channel have launched thre Zee Zindagi web series in the name of Zee5 ..... they are showing most of the Drama content from old Pakistani serials.

also they are now producing the Pakistani dramas to run on thre web series , like this one -

so my question is, why the hell Indian says that Pakistani actors are not talented and thres no demand of Pakistani content in india , while thre channels are showing and producing Pakistani Dramas ? this is hypocrisy of the highest order .....

i dont give a damn if they will remove it or not , i am pointing out the hypocrisy of Indian media ..... they bash pakistan day and night and on the same time trying to earn from other platform shamelessly .....

Zee would benefit more because most of these shows are old (so Pak audiences wouldn't watch em again) but for Indian audiences these dramas are new so zee would make more money with these dramas with zero production cost and pakistani channels would be more than happy to give copyrights because for them these dramas hold no value (kinda like dvd or Netflix to movies)

And if they're so patriotic why show pakistani culture on their screens?

An insight into our culture. I know quite few Indians over here that have watched Pakistani tv shows and they mentioned that they noticed subtle cultural and linguistic differences. It's always good to learn about the neighboring country regardless of how much animosity there is.

Zee has close links with BJP, extremely pro-BJP/Hindutva and their news segments peddle a lot of hate against Pakistan, minorities, Congress, Left groups/activists, liberals. Zee's founder/chairman is Subhash Chandra (ICL was his brainchild for cricket fans here), a BJP backed member of the Rajya Sabha. He regularly organizes concerts with Pakistani artistes in UAE, runs Pakistani shows in his channel etc and then these BJP folks cry foul when Congress has some flimsy link with a random Pakistani origin guy in some corner of the globe. One rule for them, another for rest of the country.

Zindagi used to run Pakistani shows on tv a few years back and they were extremely popular here. Obviously they cant do so anymore.

However now on an OTT platform, viewers have a choice if they want to watch it or not. Those who feel its not a big deal will watch, those who don't will clearly avoid.

We will get to know soon enough if there is a viewership for these products.

I wasn't talking about just dramas per se. The overall obsession of you lot with Pakistan. Heck your news websites have a dedicated section for Pakistan so that people like you don't have to look far and wide, you can get your daily dose of Pakistan in one convenient spot.

i dont know, but thre Zee5 webseries and application only works for India and for some International viewers, its not for Pakistanis .....

Not to mention the dumb indian dramas who were more focussed on creating a record of serving 2000 episodes than serving quality content.

Doordarshan had much better shows in the 90s than these Zee, Star Plus, Sony etc.

Also to add, all Pakistani dramas seem like the new age version of Saans(Neena Gupta), Churail though have to say atleast promos wise looks good but other Pakistanis shows are very similar to each other and massively catered to urban middleclass women viewers(it did well with my family as well due to that reason).

Thing is Zee corporation doesn't give a damn if you call them hypocritical , they are making money just like Fox..

Also what Channel, you probably mean the director don't think any channel owns this except maybe Zee5 for its broadcasting in India.

Pakistani artists and people love the independence from corporations and enjoy freelancing etc but everything comes at cost... Indian corporations have gotten good at marketing ...and hence it almost looks as if Zee5 produced Churails(not sure who did).

Art has no boundaries. Infact, I purchased a subscription on Zee5 and watched Churails. It's written & directed by Asim Abbasi. He also directed the brilliant movie Cake a couple years ago. Wow. What a show. I'm truly shocked such amazing & bold content can be made in Pakistan.

The show is truly for adults only and strongly recommended for viewers who are 18+. Also, it's not for the faint hearted or people who are conservative. It's blunt, real and in your face and actors have done a tremendous job. Hats off to the whole team for pulling this off. Something as amazing and bold as this...no production house in Pakistan would have the guts to produce.
