Shashtri is doing a pathetic job for the amount of money he is being paid.
 
That means I can become a bowling coach for $200,000 a year?

Those are pretty good salaries. No wonder Younis Khan wanted to become a coach.
 
Vettori doesn't deserve that much amount.
I hope for the sake of rcb fans he resigns on moral ground.
 
RCB staff is overpaid. I'm surprised at Moody salary. One of the top coaches in the world and also has success at international. Also won the IPL before. Thought he would be on a higher pay.
 
Shastri is the worst coach in the history of cricket and yet gets paid so much money.

That too in a 20/20 format where coaching hardly makes any difference.

Pakistani players in the IPL deserve to be paid similar amounts if not more. India is deliberately leading all out efforts to ensure Pakistani players lose out on once in a lifetime life changing financial security.

why cant they earn from their psl? Being the members of #1 t20 team(which is such a huuuuge achievement)they can demand such amounts from their respective franchises and franchises shld very well pay them the demanded amount afterall they are holding stakes in best t20 league in the world
 
That is great money for a month's cricket. Do these guys get other bonuses and perks too?

IPL or Indian owes Pakiatanis nothing. Pakistan needs to sort out its own economy and security rather then complaining.

I wonder if current Pakistani Crop offer anything special to be considered. (Sri Lankan players are completely sidelined from year to year in IPL for their ever declining skills. So its not just about pushing anyone's economy down or security or anything. It is about what is being offered in terms of finance & no issues)

Anyways as you don't even consider it as any kind of quality (IPL), then why worry about your players playing in it? If you want both money & quality why don't you organize grand PSL in Dubai/Sharjah so that money pours in and out, and you can have all kind of bright talents playing in it (Pakistan have in their every gullies to produce 8X15 quality players, and also your Afghan bright brothers who are trained by you! No necessity of any international players and certainly no room for useless Indian talents... Whole world would be on their toes to watch the encounter!)

BCCI doesn't pay the IPL coaches the owners do, why do all posters from Chennai always have a socialist mindset i never understand, plus Zaheer was a great onfield bowling mentor but there is nothing to suggest he would had been great coach as yet.

Not true, Fleming works very well with CSK, they make plans and keep eye on T20 talents around to fit into their team almost throughout the year.

Vettori though is a total dud and that's waste of money.
 
$650K for Nehra as bowling coach...I think he's a great guy but come on.
$460K for Sehwag as head coach...not sure he has the brains/composure to be head coach.

I think Vettori’s serious demeanour fools people into thinking he’s a great coach. He’s not that bad though.
 
Look at the salary comparision between RCB's Vettori and SRH's Moody? Wth! What is this lad Vettori doing to get paid the highest IPL salary a coach? He's getting paid double the salary of talented coaches like Moody and Fleming. I want this team RCB to be banned from next IPL. Good for nothing team and after the retirement of ABD, I can't even imagine this team winning morethan a couple of matches in 14 games. Just ban this overrated team and merge these players into other struggling teams like RR or DD.

These may be one-year contracts. Next year players and coaches will be paid based on this year's performance.

What remarkable feat did RCB achieve in IPL 2017 to consider the performance and pay the highest salary to Vettori for IPL 2018?

ABD hasn't retired from IPL.
 
Once again people the IPL salaries are not paid by the BCCI but by the different franchisees and depending upon different budgets and negotiations you get different levels of salaries.

I guess the fact that RCB was 3/8 in 2015 and 2/8 in 2016 counts in his favor. Anyway, the people paying him probably have put more thought into it than we have. Also it is quite likely that $700,000 isn't a whole lot of money to them.

So Laxman basically gets the same amount of money as Moody, just to translate his English instructions in hyderabadi hindi/telugu?

Warne and Sehwag getting more than the actual coaches of the franchise?

RCB could have taken in 3 more players had they not picked good for nothings as coaches!

Given the size of the market and the pace at which it is growing, these are not unrealistic numbers. They are still about one-tenth of what top coaches get paid in the NBA, NFL and even American Football and Basketball college coaches!!??
