Mustafiz now the second highest wicket taker. Only one wicket behind McClenaghan having played one match less. Best average and economy rate by far. I had predicted he would be in the Top 3 if he played enough matches now he'll probably finish as the highest wicket-taker.

Is there any new interstate rivalry between Telengana and AP?

I see more blue than orange:asif

There is and it's not new. Prior to 2014, there were many tensions, fights between the two regions and suicides in Telangana for the creation of new state. Finally Andhra was divided 2014 but it was too late. Should have been separated long back. 5 years too late by Congress for their selfish reasons and that led to the rift between between them. That's going down though.

What was the main difference? Because they even speak the same language too. I heard it was something to do with disproportionate development.

Warner has been a surprisingly good captain this season.. Good form helping him?

We have to go back to 60 years for that. Andhra was in Madras state and Telangana was in Hyderabad state which was being ruled by the Nizam. Andhra separated from Madras in 1953 and existed for 3 years till 1956. Then in 1956, States were reorganized based on language. All Kannada speaking regions formed one state, which was Karnataka and Telugu speaking region of Hyderabad(Telangana) and Andhra were made one to create Andhra Pradesh. Telangana at that time was not prosperous because of Nizam's rule and literacy was not high either and it was Urdu which was the official language whereas Andhra region was comparatively well off and English was already known to the educated people. That led to Andhra people getting more jobs and occupying key positions in the government, which wasn't liked by the few people in Telangana region. Many industrials of Hyderabad were from Andhra as well. Politically, Andhra politicians were strong right from 1956 and some greedy politicians occupied many lands in and out Hyderabad. All these weren't liked much by the local people and KCR formed TRS party in 2000 with the sole aim of new Telangana state and the rest is history.

Shakib need to perform with the bat. Was good in WT20 but poor elsewhere

Great catch by Raina but many misses after that

good to see Shakib getting runs, needed this badly for himself and his team

Cmon Saint Mcculum. Why arent you walking? What happened to your righteousness. Lets face it. Mcculum is an entertainer but hes been a big hypocrite in recent times.

Was telling my Dad that both Yusuf and Shakib were playing match losing knocks but stats were hiding it.

Easy peasy run chase done. :D

A lot of teams are YET to understand the concept of proper resource utilization.

So many match losing knocks this IPL.

Don't think these knocks mattered much say 3-4 years back but they matter.

^Shakib and Yusuf were trying to consolidate when team was 25-4. Look what happened to MI.

Shakib at one point was way below 100 SR.

Yusuf got his first 40 runs fine but then played a match losing knock.

Consolidating is different from playing a slow knock for far too long.

Pitch didn't have any major demons.

I knew KKR lost it back then itself. Only some supreme spell or some choking would have saved them.

Lots of great ODI knocks become match losing ones in T20.

Why does kkr keep selecting Shakib? That guy is a finished product. 36 runs from 3 overs, what sort of bowling figures is this?

Lately this guy has become a complete joke.

He is a great player dude.

KKR actually is strong due to Shakib. He brings stability in both batting and bowling. You need guys like him to make an explosive lineup stable.

May be he is out of form now but in the past Shakib has played big roles in KKR winning 2 IPLs.

OK, but where is SN. Is his remodeled action ineffective or is he injured?

At least he wouldn't have given 12 runs per over.

Btw, r u happy with his today's batting performance. Yes those early 4 wickets didn't help but I think he still could've played much more freely.

No. I was not happy with Shakib's performance today. That's why I said he played a match losing knock with Yusuf.

He was slow initially that he killed the match then and there. Then he picked up towards the end but it was too late by then. Yusuf after scoring 40 quick runs got slow and made sure KKR end up with a below par score.

Narine does look inferior with his new action. Is a hit or miss these days. Only time will tell how he performs. This IPL, spinners have been sub par and finger spinners even more. So will have to wait out and see.

Off form but he was one of the key players for KKR turnaround in recent times. Gambhir and Narine led from front but Shakib played handy roles with bat and was bowling crucial overs always with the ball. He played 3 full IPL seasosn for KKR two where KKR won and the other time KKR qualified for the playoffs for first time.

Infact it's he who gives kkr the freedom to go with 7 proper batsman and 5 proper bowlers. Some teams usually have problems with their no. 7 batsman or their 5th bowling option. Not KKR. If he played for RCB or Punjab who don't have allrounder or proper bowlers then you could notice his value

Then we r on the same page bro. Cheers 🍻

Kkr is lucky to have a great pool of local players but their foreign players don't give me that much confidence.

Apart from russell none of the other foreign players looked that good

And what the hell is old hoggiiiii doing in this team
