Bravo's in dipping slower balls and Mustafizur's cutters are very difficult to power straight over the boundaries. You'll mistime it 99% times. I think the best way to go is to play them square like playing a spinner. But the difficult thing is to detect those slower balls.
 
O comeon let this kid play for India. They are our future heroes...not Yuvraj Singh :facepalm:

Sarfaraz just needs to find a new sponsor and he will an all time great. McDonalds has given him too many free burgers and coke. :)

But seems like a player who does all this pre-meditation and plays unorthodox shots. Good for LOI, but doesn't work in tests.

Thats what makes Kohli so good - that he gets runs playing great cricket shots. No ungainly laps.

Also, Sarfaraz needs to lose weight.
 
good thing is Sarf will get lot of games under Kohli n Bhubaneswar will definitely be kicked out.

Good observation!
 
Even on the green track against WI in the U19 final, I think he scored 50+. The only negative about him is his inability to score beyond 60's. He gets tired easy and needs to be a lot fitter to be an Indian player. He's got great temperament though and can be a middle order bat for India

Don't go by this innings. This is just another facet of his game where can score off pre meditated shots. It shows his excellent hand eye coordination. Look at his U19 WC innings. Scored in almost every game at a good clip and plays all the shots in the book

He may be passed it, I don't have any problems with youngster being given a chance but I hate seeing everyone single out yuvraj, he was better than dhawan and raina but everyone picks on yuvi for some reason.

How can he have great temperament, but not score beyond 60 then?

Rishab looked like a hack. Manish should replace Raina right away. Somebody like Iyer should be a back up for Dhawan. Not sure who can replace Yuvraj though. Dhoni wants someone who can bat and also bowl a few overs. With Raina already gone, he needs a part time bowler desperately. Sarf needs a bit of time before he can get into Indian team

Raina surely not finished yet in ODIs. He is a big utility player. Just need to reduce weight and improve his form.

To score 60 on a green track, you need temperament and technique. Remember, these are just teenagers. He looked out of breath after scoring 60+ and eventually gave it away. His strategy is a bit like Kohli's. Gets a lot of singles initially with an odd boundary. ALways has an excellent SR
 
I googled about his once and there were articles about him when he was 12 years old. He was always destined to play for India. His dad is his coach I think

I don't know man. He was already dropped for ODIs for the AUS tour. He just looked overwhelmed on all tracks after that AUS T20 tour. If he plays, he should bat down the order to slog a few at the end. He is NOT a No.4

He didn't bowl well in a couple of games on flat tracks. He needs to improve on flat tracks no doubt. When there's swing, he's almost as lethal as Starc

He always seems like taking wickets but hardly gets any. I have observed it many times. Must be the unluckiest bowler in the world right now or maybe we are getting carried away by his pace but not on his wicket taking skills?

From what I can see is that in every game that he got in (talking about the WC), he gave it away. Didn't go on. Not just the final.
 
Look at the ECON of Mustafizur and then look at the other Indian trundlers :facepalm:. Wanted to see Sarfraz Khan bat, missed it.

Yes because he was panting. His ceiling is about 60- 70 runs. He is dominant and authoritative during his stay. Because he rotates the strike well and because he is not that fit, he gets tired. He then starts to slog because he can't run. That's a shame which I think he will rectify. There is no way in heck he is getting into this fit Indian team with this body

Doesn't Kashmir have a domestic team in India? If they aren't to play for Indian team, what are they playing the Ranji for?

The single reason why they didn't the WC. Very poor strategy by the one of the best strategic teams

If that BPL can run for 2-3 weeks IPL surely can run 6 weeks.

And the teams of this garbage tournament will best BD national team 9 out of 10 times.And if you dont like this league dont watch it.No one begged you to.

J&K has a ranji team and yes they play to get into Indian team but since many ppers think all kashmiris support pakistan, so they were very annoyed when rasool was picked for Indian team

They all say it's garbage. They all watch it though. He just doesn't know what to do with the rest of his day. He wants more IPL per day:)

Yes J and K have a Ranji team since a long long time.And we hope to get some fast bowlers from there.

Sarfaraz has already lost some weight its pretty visible he played good shots in U-19 this kind of innings was weird from him but tbh that's still good we know now he has a diff gear for last 4 overs.
 
Fizz bowled wel but if he is going to bowl 2 seasons for SRH not sure that would be good for Bangladesh.

Mustafiz bowled well considering that this was a belter of a track with incredibly short boundaries.

The remaining 16 overs went for a whopping 201

In one of his interviews last year, he said he's learning 360 batting from AB. Kohli is giving him tips on building innings and he spends a lot of time with Gayle. Very good company to learn from
 
Even last year Warner carried this team if I remember correctly. 200 wouldve definitely been chased here. Game on
