An F-35 was stranded in India for a month. Billions poured into the program. Hundreds of jets produced. Probably thousands. Pakistanis who cannot make a decent car would have been making the same jokes about it about a country which has sent rockets to moon. Aside from this Tejas vs jf17 ..I'm bit confused about why Pakistan is so proud of jf17..it's a Chinese designed chine tech plane but built in Paksitan ...whereas Tejas is mostly indigenous plane built and designed in India with some key technology like the engineer from abroad. There are quite a lot of differences. It's hard for me to say if jf17 is better or worse than Tejas..but in. General Chinese are far ahead of India in aircrafts and that's a fact. But let's first have Pakistan maybe build a car or a missile or a tank indigenously and not copy from China before we do this Umar akmal vs Sachin Tendulkar nor babar vs Kohli comparison.

Pakistan’s strategy with Thunder is actually brilliant. It has been developed in phases with block 1 being basic 4th gen and over time they have upgraded it to now gen 4+ with the block III. The next phase is to make all of its parts entirely developed in Pakistan.

I am not saying that the plane is bad .I'm saying it's a Chinese designed Chinese tech plane .similar to how India uses su 30 mki which is assembled in India but most of the technology is Russian Israeli or French...so we can't really claim that su30mki is superior is a sign of Indian achievement. With Tejas we can claim it's almost except the critical engine..Indian made. Then the debate against Chinese technology jf-17 is valid and Paksitan can claim that jf-17 is superior to Tejas...but it still isnt a sign of Paksitani aerospace industry prowess..it's a Chinese designed plane with Chinese tech.

When the next phase happens ..then it might a ok comparison but with the close cooperation evtwren China and Paksitan...people will always say it's a Chinese designed product.

We laugh at the incompetence of the IAF, but at an individual level, it's sad to see such a thing happen outside of combat.
 
The LCA Tejas is a faulty and poorly designed airplane that has been foisted on the Indian Air Force. More than 40 years since its conception, it remains undesirable by the Indian Air Force (who continue to refuse its induction) and relegated to be displayed on top of lorry trucks. The few times it has flown has resulted in tragedy as seen today.

Ironic how the Indians who were mocking and disrespecting the JF-17 —which is a world class fighter jet with exports to multiple countries and has seen real combat experience — while promoting the pathetically produced Tejas till few hours ago.

Reality has a way of humiliating delusional people.

Sad to know the pilot died. Not the first time or the last that a plane crashed in an air show. India needs to learn and come a long way in this domain.

The US government confirmed that China played an active role in discrediting Rafael. Honestly, they didn’t even have to break a sweat, every major government already knew what went down in May. All China and Pakistan had to do was rearrange the facts into a snack sized version that the average person could digest without choking.

Meanwhile, India has, well, people like you running its PR campaign, desperately trying to reinvent reality. And then everyone wonders why India keeps struggling.

First of all my condolences, thoughts and prayers to the family of the Pilot.

Secondly, its a Delta wing configuration and the issue clearly shows that the aircraft is under powered as the Pilot couldn't use power and get out of dodge. Delta wing configuration is notoriously difficult at low altitude, there are dozens of PAF articles on Mirage and how much of a beast is the aircraft to control.

That's why JF-17 has Canards to overcome these limitations while Tejas have much smaller ones so Indians have also struggled with the issue.

Both PAF and IAF operate Mirages so they know about the issue.

Thirdly, Pilot clearly misjudged his altitude relative to the ground so Pilot either wasn't sufficiently trained or didn't have enough hours on the plane or both.

Fourthly, by the time the Pilot realized his predicament he couldn't have ejected and his attempt would have attempted in life threatening injuries.

Notice that the Indians added Canards to MK2to address the low altitude issue of the delta wing configuration...

I don’t care about the jet itself but why didn’t the pilot eject. Same thing has happened in Pakistan also in past. Maybe they are too afraid to face the World and their leaders after crashing a jet worth millions and saving themselves? This is an analogy I just heard in a show on YT.

It was an airshow.. not a war, I just checked multiple Indian tv outlets and literally everything is filled with Pakistani posters on all Indian news channels for this news.. the guy doing the air show probably isn’t involved in any war either
