A defunct tournament...but used to be fun...5 or 6 team competitions. Once ICC understood the commercial value of multi team events, all such trophies were put on backburners.

Only the players will know ultimately, but 1999 i am pretty certain something was amiss. The body language, the decision at the toss and it was no secret our players were spending nights at local bars and casinos when they should have been preparing for the game. I will put it down to unprofessional-ism for arguments sake but the fact is we should have won that.

Trophy count should be limited to global tournaments only, no need to include Guthkha, Panmasala, Sharjah horse trading cups etc. Even Asia cup is mostly boring these days with India dominating poor teams for fun.

BTW surprising to see Pakistan wining only a couple Asia cups, they really underachieved a lot in the 90s and early 2000 even with legends in the team.

Pakistan has won all 3 Australasia cups which was a much more competitive tournament than Asia cup with Australia and New zealand also participating in addition to asian teams.

West Indies are yet to win a test match is Sri Lanka and have an inferior win loss ratio than Pakistan in test cricket. South Africa also haven't won a worldT20, so I don't know how you put these teams ahead of Pakistan. With India I agree as they have won 1 more WC than Pakistan and also have a series win in Oz.

Pakistan was a beast team from 2009 to 2012, pounded india in the only bilateral series as well and india was lucky to escape white wash in that year.
