Since the EURO 2020 is going on, I thought of taking a poll which one fans prefer more.

As we all know unlike cricket, Football is mostly a club sport. International football mostly restricted to Fifa events and some friendly games.

Personally speaking, I am never a fan of club football/premier leagues/la liga etc. as I cant relate to any teams. But absolutely love the internationals like Euros, World cup, Copa.

So which one you think has better quality and which one you enjoy more - Club Football or Internationals?

Club football has better quality and I enjoy it more.

But I do agree that international football, particularly tournament football like the Euros or the world cup has a different vibe with all the fanfare which I love.

Club football. International football is slow and mostly defence oriented.

Only good thing is watching the smaller nations driven by nationalism putting it all out there. Quality wise its not a patch on Club football

But as a player surely winning for his country means more? I am sure someone like Messi would always repent for not winning a world cup for Argentina irrespective of how many goals he score for Barcelona.

I hate international friendlies, but I don't mind major tournaments like the World Cup, Euros, Copa America and African Cup of Nations.

I know in terms of quality many believe the EPL isn't the best league, but for entertainment it's brilliant.

International tournaments are much better than ECL and other club leagues. The only reason being that it happens every year whereas international tournaments are not that frequent.

international tournaments. dont see how people are invested in club football, yes its entertaining and high quality, but at the end of the day its a financial so and so measuring contest.

it was more understandable back in the day when guys like maldini, giggs, and totti spent entire careers at clubs, but players have zero loyalty to clubs (which makes sense given disparity in salaries), but when u see people going crazy for their clubs spending thousands on season tickets, hundreds on satellite coverage, buying new kits every year, it makes zero sense to me.

Another thing is that there are far more boring draws and defensive football in leagues than international tournaments. High chance of underdog stories too

I prefer the Champions League starting from the Round of 16. This is the highest quality football, and I dont think anything can compare to it.

However I also like to watch the World Cup, Copa, and Euros starting from the knockout rounds, as well as the final of the Asian Cup and Africa Cup.

Club football trumps internationals any day of the week as club sides are much more well oiled machines. Players understand each others movements much better as they play a lot more football together. Hence makes the football more attractive. In internationals most players struggle to develop any understanding as they barely play together for a few weeks in the year.

This, this decides it for me, this point. I don´t watch club football at all, barring one final between Chelsea and Bayern from years ago, but I can safely assume that it´s a lot more at stake for the national team than the club team. A World Cup, a Euro, or Copa America victory would mean a lot more for any player than winning any title for your club, and the same would stand for losing a final etc., for example.

International football when it comes to BIG tournaments is the one for me.

Overall, given that Pakistan does not have a football team of any repute, I am happier with club football.

International Football, but the thing is International football needs to have the events that happen occasionally/ rarely, for example, World Cup, Euros are every 4 years. This is what makes these international football events truly amazing, spectacular, and in fact the best sporting events.

For about 5 years now, I don't follow Club football as crazily as I used to. Club football just becomes ordinary quite easily for me.

I guess for club football it comes down to the passion. Im a Messi Fan, and so he is the only one who I keep an eye on the most, but I haven't even watched him with PSG most of the time. I like other teams like Barcelona, Spurs, but once again, it becomes ordinary to watch repetitive club football.

Apart from WC k.o's Int'l footy is dud, whereas a random league game or a cup tie has that extra spice and zeal, some of the best club level games have watched

Liverpool v Chelsea 1-0, 05UCL SF
Liverpool v Milan 3-3 , Istanbul
Chelsea v Liverpool 4-4 UCL K.o
Chelsea v Barca 1-1, UCl 09 Robbery
Arsenal v ManU 0-0 2004
ManU v Arsenal 2-0, streak fixture
Arsenal v ManU 2-4, tunnel bustup

I enjoy World Cup the most.

After that, EURO and COPA America. After that, club football.

International friendly games do not mean much.
