Teams:

Royal Challengers Bangalore (From): Brendon McCullum, Quinton de Kock(w), Virat Kohli(c), AB de Villiers, Mandeep Singh, Pawan Negi, Washington Sundar, Chris Woakes, Kulwant Khejroliya, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Sarfaraz Khan, Colin de Grandhomme, Moeen Ali, Manan Vohra, Aniket Choudhary, Navdeep Saini, Murugan Ashwin, Mohammed Siraj, Corey Anderson, Parthiv Patel, Aniruddha Joshi, Pavan Deshpande, Tim Southee

Mumbai Indians (From): Suryakumar Yadav, Evin Lewis, Ishan Kishan(w), Rohit Sharma(c), Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, Akila Dananjaya, Mayank Markande, Jasprit Bumrah, Mustafizur Rahman, Rahul Chahar, Saurabh Tiwary, Ben Cutting, Pradeep Sangwan, Jean-Paul Duminy, Mitchell McClenaghan, Tajinder Singh, Sharad Lumba, Siddhesh Lad, Aditya Tare, Anukul Roy, Mohsin Khan, MD Nidheesh, Adam Milne

Crucial game for MI this one. They wouldn't want to lose four in a row.

RCB has a long tail and needs balance. As much as I love Baz McCullum, I think RCB is not a good fit for him. He may need to sit out for C Anderson or Moeen for an extra bowling option. Negi hasn't done anything off late. Open with Mandeep.

RCB XI:
1 DE KOCK
2 Mandeep
3 Kohli
4 DE VILLIERS
5 Vohra
6 C ANDERSON
7 WOAKES
8 Washington
9 Umesh
10 Chahal
11 Siraj

I would play McClenaghan & Milne in this match and see how the fare. I love the Fizz but his fielding has let the team down and fans expected better from him in last over as an overseas player.

1 LEWIS
2 Suryakumar
3 Kishan
4 Rohit
5 POLLARD
6 Krunal
7 Hardik
8 MCCLENAGHAN
9 Bumrah
10 Markande
11 MILNE

RCB misses Bravo, Russel kind of WI alrounder in the middle order.

Mccullam is benched. This is what I was saying, when his fans here were jumping up and down after one innings. No way as an overseas player you can keep playing without being consistent in IPL.

what god have we offended? why can't we win the toss for once?

Yep going to lose another game. Preparing myself for the inevitable.

RCB is the team that i hate the most. One for Cauvery and 2 for their dumb captain. I just want their captain and abdv to play long innings but lose the game.

RCB's tail starting at No.5. Even Mandeep is someone equivalent to Ravindra Jadeja's batting peak at the most!

RCB should take a gamble and open with Sarfaraz or even Sundar. Kohli opening is suicidal...

This Mumbai team remind me of Lahore qalandars just can't seem to get a win in the first few games no matter what

Umesh Yadav when he is on song, he can swing/seam at 145k's. Literally unplayable.

If only he could be this consistent

There is some assistance for the bowlers here. You just have to pitch it up. If you bowl short, it will be hit for maximum.

As an MI fan, one should know that things are doomed when a spray gun like Umesh gets swing like that. Lol.

On a serious note, i’ll again appreciate BCCI and curators all around. Pitches has been great this year so far.

Sundar under pressure. Leaking runs here. Lets see how he will comeback in the next over.

Siraj should retire. He will cost 60 runs in 4 overs if Lewis stays for another 6 overs. :))

That's a boundary saved by Kohli - that was absolutely belted by lewis. How do these guys don't break fingers more often I will never understand.

RCB management should resign after this season, they have no idea how to build a team. I hope Kohli moves to his home club.

Their bowling is club level. Year after year, they pack their team with batting totally ignoring the bowling aspect.

Who in their right mind select Siraj as your bowler. Umesh is also hit or miss. Spinners usually get carted on these surfaces. So it doesn't matter whether you play Chahal/Sundar or some unknown guy.

RCB needs someone like Starc or Bumrah to open for them.

Lol you hate RCB because of Cauvery? What a ridiculous reason.

Add to that the dumb captain who doesn't know how to execute things on ground... See how he exerted pressure after 0/2...

He thought bringing in Sundar will get Lewis. But the opposite happened.

When Sundar got destroyed, he had to go to Siraj (lol). What else he is supposed to do when you have a popgun pace attack at your disposal?

Where have they packed their batting? Tail starts from No.5... They think that just some superstars can run & win their show... (Other day Samson ate all of them alive!) Why did they leave out Rahul who could have opened the innings giving the much needed batting depth (and some even a rookie alrounder from WI in the middle order, they know how to play T20. Picking 3 to 4 West Indies players in the squad is a must for IPL teams to flourish!)

Dinda and Vinay are close. Hard to pick between these 3. Got to say Siraj is a complete dud.

Guy got 6 crore INR for 2 seasons he has played; what is he doing, conceding 50+ runs and takes a wicket in the last over when batsman has already smashed 20 of that over.

They can chase 200 without depth if 2 batsmen fire - Virat, AB, QdK, Mandeep - any 2 of these will do.

Only Virat or AB can do that. QdK lost that hold now, he is slightly better than P.Patel at the moment (RCB could have played Partiv in place of QdK if they had better batsmen in their wings. But QdK is superior Wicket keeper than PP)

Vinay had his moments at least! (Won trophies for his state team and also was slightly just for a brief period was effective for RCB team in one of the seasons)

We, RCB, play to run the show and provide entertainment.

Winning isnt our job. We leave that to other teams.

Even this match is out of RCB's reach... Hope they understand the value of WI players (not picked a single one I guess apart from Chris Gayle with whom they stuck for big longer) Also WI players have hunger to perform in IPL because their board is so weak & they are a bit rebel about it!

Siraj comes from a very poor family in Hyderabad. I remember watching a programme on Telugu TV channel where they showed his family and how much IPL selection meant to them. They hit jackpot for sure.

This could be the last time he might be playing in IPL if he does not improve.

Look at his overall career record - excellent across formats averaging 19-20. Thats unheard if for a yiung Indian pacer. He can consistently bowl 140+ and is a genuine wicket taker as he showed in last IPL.

I hope he gets all the backing he deserves. You do not discard such talent

1)Two of SA's best limited over batsmen.
2) India's best limited over batsmen.
3) England best t20 bowler going around.
4) India's best spinner going around.
5) Umesh Yadav

Even after all this if there is one team whom I back to lose then you know who it is:genius

Dude, thats some of the most ignorant nonsense I've read today.

This Siraj guy seems like the real find , he is quick and accurate and seems to have the swagger of fast bowler as well, Good luck to him .

Siraj has bowled a lot better today and at good pace as well. One delivery at 145 kph as well!

Siraj is useless man. He just bowls it gun barrel straight at 135-140k. A real club level bowler.

Will be a very good test match bowler. Hits the pitch hard, bowls full and can get good carry due to his height. A real prospect who needs careful handling.

Club level bowlers average 19-20 across formats in domestic cricket on Indian pitches?

Seen him in Nidahas when he got smacked mercilessly by Lankan batsmen. Siraj has no brains. His stock delivery is bowl length or short at 135k's. No slower ball or yorker (barring once in a blue moon one).

Mavi >>>>>>> Siraj.

He is bowling to an out of form Rohit and Krunal who is not a big hitter.

Siraj is lucky that Lewis got out.

I think a lot of people have this perception of him only due to his poor performance in the few T20 Internationals he played. He's not as bad as people are making him out to be here. He actually did quite well in last year's IPL for SRH. I've seen him get a lot of seam movement in domestic matches. In my opinion, he's more suited to one-day matches and the long format.

Rohit is playing his mandatory 'best innings of the tournament' so he can fail in the rest of the matches. Hail 'Hit-or-miss Man'.

The guy has played a grand total of 3 T20s and bowlers do get hit in T20s. Pointless to argue with you.

It will take another 30 mins at least to finish the last 4 hours. That would make 2 hours for one innings, rest of the games have also taken 3.5 hours plus to finish, probably due to the high scores.

Could be a case of dew as well.

This Siraj guy is a curious case. He has many things going for him like pace. But still gets smashed

Will Kohli get penalized for overtime ? What is the rule in IPL is it like International matches?

India's best all rounder after KapilDev is arriving. Wonder what is his new hair style today.

He's come back superbly today though. 18 off his first over, followed it up with 18 off his last three. And I wouldn't read too much into a fast bowler's performance in T20s. This format is brutal for them. He's done well in domestic cricket and he was the best bowler in the A tour of South Africa last year. I'm pretty sure he'll do a lot better in one-dayers and the long format stuff.

Hardik having a horrow show with both bat and ball in this IPL. First ball duck for him now.

Pandya can get out now and would have still done more than what ATG finisher Dhoni has done for last 3 IPLs

Pandya boy can't buy a run after the fluke 93 in SA test and he's being compared with Dhoni. Some folks on this forum need some psychological assessment very soon.

Ok well done from Pandya... but I need to see more of this to see if it is a fluke or not :ashwin

Dhoni is more a farmer than cricketer these days and so not comparable to a cricketer obviously.
