Rohit averages 50 with 90 SR in the last few years. He won't be dropped. Rahul has been a "miss" player so far in LOIs.

Rohit is feat or famine type player. He also disappears in important games.

Rahul deserves a spot in WC squad. I would take him as a keeper batsman ahead of MSD. But we all know MSD is not going anywhere. :shastri

Overall Rohit is a good player. But he is way too inconsistent for my liking.

We might be excited about drafting a youngster into the team but not at the place of a performing guy. There are many non performing guys in the team. Only the top 3 batsmen , Bhuvi and Bumrah are consistent performers. That means 6 places should be up for grabs.

We might be excited about drafting a youngster into the team but not at the place of a performing guy. There are many non performing guys in the team. Only the top 3 batsmen , Bhuvi and Bumrah are consistent performers. That means 6 places should be up for grabs.

I am not saying he should be dropped from the squad or anything. He is still one of our key batsmen in LOI. But no automatic selection anymore. He can’t enjoy that luxury anymore. He should be ready to play in the middle order. One more SA kinda failure, he should be out of the 11.
