KKR have played absolutely reckless cricket , since Gambhir left KKR is not the same team.
KKR were foolish to let go of their best middle-order player, Iyer, and their best opener, Salt, last year, who won the trophy with a strike rate of 170 and an average of 50.

For me MI ,CSK and KKR defeat are The most enjoyable. I never liked them but unfortunately they have the most trophy :kp

Yes but good luck with Tuktukraj .after Dhoni CSK brand will go down massively. :kp
I guess CSK will be in shambles for the next few years. We made a lot of mistakes in last year's auction, and the franchise is too focused on keeping Dhoni active. I feel like they are compromising on quality for the sake of one player, this worked for the past few years, but it’s not going to work anymore.
MSD is bigger and untouchable, he adds great value to the franchise, which CSK doesn't want to lose, but they can’t keep going like this. It sucks either way.
This Ruturaj guy is another KL Rahul.

Mumbai Indians (MI) thrashed Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by eight wickets to notch up their first victory of IPL 2025

MI chased down 117 in just 12.5 overs, with Ryan Rickelton smashing a half-century. Earlier, Mumbai Indians (MI) pacer Ashwini Kumar picked up four wickets on his IPL debut, as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) were bundled out for just 116 in 16.2 overs in their IPL 2025 clash at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday. Ashwani dismissed Ajinkya Rahane with his very first ball. KKR were reduced to 45/5 after seven overs, and failed to recover. MI captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl against KKR. MI are searching for their first victory in IPL 2025, having lost their first two games.

Arshdeep is One the best T20 bowler. Very underrated .

Bumrah and Arshdeep ,what a combo for 2026 World t20 for us.

:kp

Pant is the biggest fraud in T20 cricket. Not just in the IPL, he is rubbish in international LOI format as well.
I still don’t understand how franchises keep pouring millions into a guy who hasn’t done anything worth remembering in T20 format.
On top of that, they are making him captain.. Pathetic.

All Punjabi batsmen are beastly six hitters. They changed their approach two years back and won the SMAT. Wadhera, prabhsimran, abhishek sharma, ramandeep singh etc
Apparently, Mumbai Indians let this guy go. They had him for just 20 lakh rupees. Punjab bought him for 4 crore

Nehal is as talented as Tilak Verma. They are pretty similar in their batting approach. Probably that is why they let go Nehal. Duplicate players will rarely work in the same team.

LSG owner will not be a happy man. I wonder how he feels now after spending a lot of money for Pant.
Not sure what he was thinking when he gave Pant that big contract. Pant has not proven anything in T20 arena. He is average at best and struggles to hit big shots. Even Ishan Kishan who is hated by everyone has played many gem innings than Pant ever did. But Pant has the hype because of his record in Tests. Some owners and managers cannot judge talent across formats.

How can LSG owner expect his team to win matches with that bowling attack?
Prince yadav good bowler. Bishnoi is international bowler . New spinners are also good. Shamar Joseph can be included. But they will lose batting fire power. Problem is not the attack. It is the pathetic captaincy of Pant.

Can't win with just spinners. They are lacking 1-2 international quality pacers like other teams.

Match done and dusted for RCB... Bangalore has cloudy and humid conditions... Helpful for seamers and GT pacers did the smart thing (hitting line and length). Good toss to win for GT. They have seasoned bowlers too...

I think RCB can try to defend 160+ here... They should try to reach there instead of throwing away wickets (like other teams did in this tournament in some matches trying too hard... Bowlers have been bit smart this season)

Chinnaswamy can be tough for batting if there is cloud cover (We have seen this with test matches too... Will start to assist seamers). RCB also has good pace bowlers this time... So they need to put up a decent score here...

GT batting is united to chase totals around 170 , they are not that big hitters but timers of the ball

RCB bowling can challenge GT with this total... At least they didn't panic like other teams after losing early wickets batting first... Also the pitch is not that easy for batting (especially new ball)

RCB this time has some good utility players rather than superstars/big names... Previously they would have easily got bundled below 100 after a bad start...

Bhuvneshwar now on par with Dwayne Bravo
====

Most wickets by a pacer in IPL

183 - Dwayne Bravo (161 mat)
183 - Bhuvneshwar Kumar (172 mat)
170 - Lasith Malinga (122 mat)
165 - Jasprit Bumrah (133 mat)
144 - Umesh Yadav (148 mat)

Gujarat Titans produced an excellent all-round show to beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru by eight wickets in their Indian Premier League match in Bengaluru on Wednesday

Set a target of 170, GT completed the chase with as many as 13 balls to spare. The swashbuckling Jos Buttler top-scored for GT with an unbeaten 73 off 39 balls, while opener Sai Sudharsan struck a 36-ball 49 as the two added 75 runs for the second wicket to put the visitors on course for their second victory in three matches. Sherfane Rutherford remained not out on 30 off 18. Earlier, Mohammed Siraj struck twice in the powerplay before RCB recovered to post 169 for eight after being sent into bat.

I watched the RCB vs GT match yesterday at Chinnaswamy Stadium.
I was totally surprised by the pitch. I expected a proper belter, but it turned out to be really good for pacers.
RCB completely misread the pitch and also lost a crucial toss. They were 4 down in the powerplay... lol.

I was sitting exactly where Kohli got injured during fielding, had a fantastic view from there.

A few observations:
Ishant’s run-up is longer than Siraj’s.
Padikkal and Bhuvi honestly look like malnourished kids, they are so lean.:ROFLMAO:
That Rasikh Dar guy was rubbish, kept feeding the batters with half-pitched deliveries.
David and Buttler were absolutely smashing sixes for fun.

KKR hasn't been stupid to retain Pandit as coach , look at what he has done with the team. They paid 24 crore for Venkatesh Iyer , what a failure. They could have got two Gun players for that kind of money. Pandiit is the most overrated coach in white ball.

KKR is not looking like a Play off team, worst thing for them is that , they have to be stuck with same combination for next two seasons as well.

Iyer is a poor player , Rinku , not in best form , Russell and Narine are done .
The team balance is not there. And on top of that Pandit , worst white ball coach in this IPL.

KKR is finished.

Kolkata Knight Riders registered a massive 80-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad to jump to fifth spot in the 10-team IPL 2025 points table

In the match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday, everything fell in place for KKR as they overpowered SunRisers Hyderabad. SRH are currently last in the IPL 2025 points table. As far as the highest run-scorer is concerned, Lucknow Super Giants' Nicholas Pooran holds the Orange Cap with a tally of 189. Chennai Super Kings' Noor Ahmad holds the Purple Cap with nine scalps.

Venkatesh Iyer answered his critics with a match-winning 60 off 29 balls, propelling Kolkata Knight Riders to a convincing 80-run win in the Indian Premier League on Thursday. Angkrish Raghuvanshi's classy 50 (32b, 5x4, 2x6) in an 81-run stand with skipper Ajinkya Rahane (38 off 27) laid the foundation, while Iyer and Rinku Singh (32 not out off 17b) provided the late fireworks with a blistering 91-run partnership (41b) to lift KKR to 200/6 -- their highest total of the season. Seamer Vaibhav Arora set the tone by removing the dangerous Travis Head (4) and Ishan Kishan (2) in successive overs to return with impressive figures of 4-1-29-3.
