Iran fires multiple ballistic missiles towards Israel as a retaliatory measure for its insane actions

If you have something to say about Israel Iran conflict then go on, otherwise do not post irrelevant and personal stuff here.

Begani shaadi mai Abdullah dewana, fits on India. Isreal Iran is serious business not your LoC firing or getting beaten with rifle from Chinese

Begani shaadi - Abdullah thing doesn't fit here. Israel is taking on evil forces, Bharat and the world supports this fight against extremist Islamist nations.

Like many Pakistani posters mentioned here, Israel indeed does have Bharat's full sapport. 🇮🇳

You can do the research and find out the latest position.

I don't need to do any of that - we lived in the Middle East for the better part of 3 decades until 2022. We know what's what and don't made daft statements because we like Modi more than we like India.

US says it helped Israel shoot down Iran missiles

The US fired about a dozen interceptors at Tuesday's barrage of Iranian ballistic missiles fired at Israel, the Pentagon says.

US President Joe Biden said the US "actively" supported Israel's defence at his direction. He said he had spent the morning in the Situation Room - the White House hub for handling serious national security issues.

The Israeli military said about 180 missiles were fired at Israel, most of which were intercepted.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has defended the attack, calling it a "decisive" response "in defence of Iranian interests and citizens".

In a Pentagon press briefing on Tuesday, Maj Gen Patrick Ryder said two US Navy destroyers fired the interceptors at the missiles, which the US believed were all launched from Iran.

He did not confirm whether they hit any of the Iranian missiles used in the attack - adding that this information was yet to be determined.

Iran launched around 180 missiles towards Israel, the Israeli military said. That would make it slightly larger than a barrage in April when Tehran launched about 110 ballistic missiles and 30 cruise missiles fired towards Israel.

Maj Gen Ryder added that the Pentagon was not aware of any warning for the attack.

President Biden said the US was "fully supportive" of Israel after Wednesday's assault.

"Today, at my direction, the United States military actively supported the defence of Israel, and we're still assessing the impact," he said.

"But based on what we know now, the attack appears to have been defeated and ineffective. And this is testament to the Israeli military capability and the US military."

Asked by reporters what the response towards Iran would be, Biden said: "That's in active discussion right now. That remains to be seen."

He said he would be talking to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his message "would depend on what we finally conclude is needed".

The region is now well into a further sharp cycle of escalation, precisely the scenario Biden has spent months trying to avert - attempting to stem the Gaza war engulfing the rest of the region, while keeping up an almost continuous supply of arms to Israel.

Earlier, White House national security spokesman Jake Sullivan described Iran's attack as a "significant escalation".

He told reporters: "We have made clear that there will be consequences, severe consequences, for this attack, and we will work with Israel to make that the case."

Mr Sullivan did not specify what such consequences might be, but he did not urge restraint by Israel as the US did after April's attack by Iran.

US state department spokesman Matthew Miller said Washington had attempted to use both deterrence and diplomacy to de-escalate the region.

Pressed by the BBC on whether it was still taking this approach when working with the Israelis on the response to Iran, he said of course - they were always using both deterrence and diplomacy.

Iran's armed forces warned against any direct military intervention in support of Israel.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement that the attacks were in response to Israel's killing of a top IRGC commander and leaders of Iran-backed militias in the region.

It mentioned the killings of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah and IRGC commander Abbas Nilforoshan in Lebanon last weekend.

It also referred to the killing of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran in July.

While Israel has not admitted involvement in Haniyeh's death, it is widely believed to be responsible.

Irony is that the Arabs want no part of this war.

Iran isn’t an Aran nation. They’re a Shia Muslim dictatorship who hate Persia so much that they are desperate to destroy that nation.
The real sad part here is the converts from the sub continent running around all crazy and confused in the middle over this war that has nothing to do with them.

The Americans are being quite sleight here. After their destructions of Iraq and Afghanistan, it seems they want further adventurism in the ME again by going after Iran this time.

Bowen: Iran wanted to do real damage, and Israel's response may not be as restrained as last time

When Iran attacked Israel in April, it seemed like it was making a point – but Iran effectively gave notice of the attack in terms of how it carried it out, and everything was pretty much shot out of the air by Israeli and American defences.

This time around it’s different. The Iranians looked like they wanted to do some serious damage and were making a much more aggressive point.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps put out an announcement saying that they were retaliating to the killings of senior leaders in Hamas and Hezbollah, and warned that if Israel retaliated, in turn they would strike back.

Last time around, Joe Biden said to Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu – “Take the win”, don’t carry out a big response - and they didn’t. This time around in Israel the mood is very different.

Look at the tweet from former prime minister Naftali Bennett last night, using very strong language, saying: “This is the greatest opportunity in 50 years to change the face of the Middle East.” He was arguing that Israel should go after Iran’s nuclear facilities, in order to “fatally cripple this terrorist regime”.

Now he’s not prime minister (although he is widely tipped to be a future one, so he was making a point to show he is tough) but it does reflect a certain mood in the country.

I would not rule out attacks by Israel on anything at the moment – nuclear sites, petrochemical facilities, anything that could cause damage to the Iranian economy.

The scenario always was that Iran had a forward defence in the shape of Hezbollah in Lebanon, with a massive arsenal of sophisticated weapons, to be used, in theory, if Iran and its nuclear facilities were attacked.

But in the last couple of weeks, Israel has decapitated the Hezbollah organisation, destroyed half of its weapons, according to American and Israeli authorities; and invaded Lebanon.

The deterrent Iran had, you could argue, is not just gone – it’s smashed into a thousand pieces. So I think the Israelis are feeling more free to act. And Joe Biden is moving another carrier battle group to the Mediterranean, signalling to the Iranians that if you hit Israel, you hit the US too.

This is why people were talking about the fear of the war spreading: the instability, the turbulence that comes from everything that’s been happening – now we are seeing it play out and it leaves very little room for diplomacy at this moment.

Greek citizen among those killed in Tel Aviv

Further to our previous post, a Greek citizen who lives in Jerusalem was among those killed in the gun and knife attack in Tel Aviv yesterday.

According to sources, the victim was a 20-year-old man born in Thessaloniki, Greece.

"We unequivocally condemn yesterday's terrorist attack in Tel Aviv's Jaffa district," the foreign ministry said in a statement.

Khamenei tells West to 'get lost' in first remarks since attack on Israel

Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, met a group of elites in Tehran today.

He blamed the regional tension and wars on "US and some European countries" which "falsely claim they bring peace and tranquillity to the region".

He said they must "get lost" from the region so that the countries in the region can live in peace.

He said that he is "mourning" over the death of Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah, but did not postpone his meeting with elites because Iran's mourning is a "reviving and driving" force.

The order to launch missiles at Israel on Tuesday was made by the country's supreme leader - who remains in a secure location, a senior Iranian official told Reuters news agency.

So are you saying britsh emperor is not the bully but freedom fighters are?

British came into India with guns and swords and conquered India by force, they ruled India as a dictatorship. Israel offered numerous peace plans to Palestine for 2 state solution, all of which were rejected.

Where's the post about massacring all the innocent people of Gaza, Lebanon, Syria etc. Maybe wise to stay out of it? And no, this war isn't about anti-semitism.

I am not falling for your fake concern for civilians here. Muslims are dying all over the middle east at the hands of other muslims like in Yemen, Syria. Also in Myanmar and China. But some of u only get triggered when the Jews are involved.

What Iran did yesteday is was an act of terrorism. You simply dont launch 200 odd missiles in a country and expect no backlash. Like any other country, Israel has right to self defend. The extent one goes to self defending themselves varies from country to country. Now if and when Israel attack back, the same posters will cry about cease fire. I have never understood this logic. That is why entire western world is firmly standing behind Israel and unaninously condemning Iran.

Do you believe in a Palastanian state?

My view along with that of 1 billion + Hindus of Bharat :-

  • Jews have an ancient right to Israel. It’s their birthplace and their homeland.
  • Muslims collectively have hold of 50+ countries already and they illegally occupied the lands there as a result of historic Jewish persecution.
  • Israel belongs to the Jews and Muslims must either agree to live peacefully there and if at all they cannot coexist with Jews then they must be taken in by the 50+ Muslim nations of the world.

‘Deeply concerned’: India urges Israel-Iran restraint

India says it’s “deeply concerned” by the escalating conflict and urges restraint and protection of civilians as Israel prepares to retaliate against a barrage of Iranian missile strikes.

“It is important that the conflict doesn’t take a wider regional dimension and we urge that all issues be addressed through dialogue and diplomacy,” India’s foreign ministry said in a statement.

Israeli officials pledged to respond after Iran fired ballistic missiles at key military and security targets in Israel. Iran says the strikes were in response to attacks on Gaza and Lebanon.

Israel bars UN secretary-general from entering country

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz says he is barring UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres from entering the country for his failure to “unequivocally condemn” Iran’s huge missile attack on Israel.

Shortly after Iran’s attack, Guterres condemned the escalation of violence in the region, but made no mention of Iran.

“Anyone who cannot unequivocally condemn Iran’s heinous attack on Israel does not deserve to step foot on Israeli soil,” said Katz in a statement. “This is an anti-Israel Secretary-General who lends support to terrorists, rapists, and murderers.”

Iran braces for Israeli strikes as supreme leader calls for west to leave Middle East

Iran is bracing itself for likely Israeli attacks on its nuclear sites as the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, urged the west to leave the Middle East.

Khamenei met students and scientists on Wednesday in his first public appearance since ordering a high-risk missile attack on Israel in response to Israel’s attacks on the leadership of Hezbollah, the armed group Tehran has funded in Lebanon.

Iran, he said, was still in mourning over the assassination last Friday of the Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah, but added: “Being in mourning does not mean being depressed and sitting in a corner.”

Iran’s attack has appeared to rally the country’s previously divided political elite as the leadership justified the attack on Israel by insisting it was effective, lawful and unavoidable to restore deterrence and Iran’s sovereignty.

Abbas Araghchi, the foreign minister, made a round of diplomatic calls, including to European foreign ministers, insisting that Iran was not seeking escalation. Unlike Israeli attacks in Lebanon, Iran’s targets had been strictly military and not civilian, he claimed.

Asked on Wednesday if Iran had given any direct warnings to the US about the attacks, he said: “No, I do not confirm such a thing. But we had an exchange of messages through the Swiss embassy in Tehran, giving the necessary warnings to the US.” He said that message was sent after Iran had launched the missiles into Israel.

Switzerland has long acted as a diplomatic intermediary for the US in Tehran.

Part of the purpose of Araghchi’s calls was to convey the limits of the Iranian operation, and to urge the US and Europe to insist in turn that Israel show restraint in its response.

He added: “I anticipate that we may gradually witness a return to some form of stability in the region in the coming days.”

Iran’s defence minister, Aziz Nasirzadeh, also urged Europe to contain Israel. “Otherwise they will face Iran’s response and the region will enter into a great war,” he said.

At a meeting of the UN security council in New York later on Wednesday Iran is expected to defend its actions in line with the UN Charter.

Maj Gen Mohammad Bagheri, the head of Iran’s general staff of the armed forces, said the missiles targeted Israeli airbases, including the Nevatim base, which houses F35 planes, as well as the Mossad headquarters.

Images of the leadership of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Council (IRGC) watching the attack on TV monitors showed them shouting “beautiful” as the missiles struck the ground and exploded.

Speaking of Israel’s likely response, Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf, speaker of the parliament, said: “We have prepared ourselves for the possible madness of Israel and have designed an unexpected plan, and our next response to possible aggressions will be on a very different level.”

But observers said there was also a sense of foreboding. Iran knows its largely Russian-supplied aerial defences are rudimentary, and that the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has made it an explicit war objective to change the balance of power in Middle East, which many take as a code for weakening Iran’s nuclear programme.

The regime, wary of dissent, will be monitoring the reaction of citizens. The oil ministry announced there were no plans to raise petrol prices, one of the most sensitive issues inside a country racked by inflation and sanctions.

The IRGC urged citizens to report any pro-Israel statements on social media. All internal and external commercial air flights across Iranian airspace were cancelled.

One of the key nuclear sites in Iran is Fordow, near the city of Qom, a uranium enrichment facility deep underground. An Israeli attack on this would hasten the return of debate inside Iran over whether the country needs to acquire a nuclear weapon, as opposed simply to the enriched uranium required for such a bomb.

Javad Zarif, the government’s strategic minister and likely to be one of those in the leadership most reluctant to back the military response, was, however, unequivocal in backing the attacks.

“Western hypocrisy is not just outrageous, but extremely dangerous. Western states have aided and abetted the Israeli genocide in Gaza and acquiesced in Israeli aggressions against Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and other countries in the region.

“Iran has an inherent right of self-defence against repeated Israeli armed attacks against Iranian territory and its citizens. Israel and its allies alone are responsible for all consequences of Israel’s persistent provocations and escalations,” he said.

Rather than gloating or glorifying the horrors of war I want to make a more nuanced post and literally open to opinions and suggestions on the overall conflict.

Let's take a step back and analyse what has happened in the region in the past 1 year.

Obviously we start from 7/Oct as for most pundits and posters the history started from this day onwards only. Literally I see many pundits who's history dates back to the horrors of holocaust and then goes into abyss and history then restarts again from 7/Oct like anything and everything in between never existed.

Nevermind moving onto 7/Oct we see a significant strike inside Israel from Hamas. There were grave tragedies as reported in the immediate aftermath of the attack. Needless to give any further reason, Israel got the green light to carpet bomb the region which they gleefully did and are still doing to this date (the arms manufacturers in US might be reporting trillions in profits this year alone I presume). However one thing literally stands out for me, that the most significant attack from Hamas inside Israel how did this actually came about. A year has passed on and we still haven't seen any internal summary report as to the rootcause of this defense failure and neither we have seen any significant sacking or firing of senior defense and public personnels in light of this. This is very strange as surely Israeli people would want to know the reason why defense of Israel failed so miserably and from what has been reported the public did protest in huge numbers seeking accountability but like UNSC or ICJ panels the top leadership of Israel along with US partnership gave them little to no notice.

On top of that international journalists are not even allowed to enter the territory and investigate this matter either which seems strange given Israel was a victim and would have wanted the world to know the barbarism it went through. Additionally on top of that there were horrific news coming through that a large number of causalities on Israel's side were self-inflicted, look up operation Hannibal. The details are quite horrific.

So Israel using that position carpet bombed Gaza into submission whilst expanding settlements in West Bank literally while the world is watching is accusing Israel of war crimes. There is no depth lower for Israel as they literally turned themselves into lowest forms of life where they can go lower than your lowest expectation and still out do you, funny thing is they are still playing the victim card amidst all this.

Moving a little forward in timeline now and we have ICJ on verge of issuing arrest warrants for Netanyahu and the biggest democracy in the world ala Uncle Sam or US says they are likely not to recognise or implement the verdict of ICJ. Truth be told Uncle Sam is an advanced version of our Pakistani military establishment. US is the biggest dictator in the guise of democracy similarly like how Israel is the biggest war criminal under the guise of a victim.

Recently Israel out of the blue attacked Lebanon for firing rockets into their territory. Firstly this is what Israel has been doing all their while in history which obviously didn't start on 7/Oct. Not sure if people remember but I remember some Palestinian kids hurling stones on Israel forces and they would then shoot the kid in the leg or blind the kid in the process and would say we simply responded to the stones being hurled at us. One wonders why kids had to pick up stones but like always we never discuss that. Similarly now on some rockets being hurled and easily taken down by the Iron Dome, Israel has barraged rockets into Lebanon causing the highest number of civilian causalities on a single day there. Yet they are simply responding to attacks from other side and we should not be questioning the force or length of retaliation because Israel is a victim.

Whilst this was all going on over the year, Israel has also shown individual brilliances like obviously the pager attack where its a clear message battles will not be run on battlegrounds it will literally enter your homes and set panic in public aka definition of terrorism but we don't want to discuss that as Israel is a victim. On a side note, this pager attack is eerily similar to what US has been doing over the years in Afghanistan and Iraq, a random guy in his 40s will fly a drone from his home and can target any residence, building or structure without being actively involved in conflict. Post bombing the guy will shut his laptop have a cold beer and proudly feel American. Coming back to Israel, there were not only sophisticated attacks like pager there were also many high-profile assassinations in the region like Hezbollah leader, Iran leader of revolutionary guard and I even think they attacked their President. So after all these high profile assasinations the Middle East should not retaliate and attack Israel because they are the victim and were only targetting them as they categorised these individuals as terrorists. It does not matter if these were not recognised as terrorists by other nations because other nations have no value and Israel's book of terrorists have the correct definition of terrorism and victim so we should be following them aka chosen book.

Now last night we see reports of rockets being fired into Israel with no significant damage being reported but now like always Israel is a victim. Let's see how this plays out will there be a thorough review or examination as to how bombing from Iran was given a go-ahead or will Israel now respond duly together with US to exterminate terrorism as per their rule book?

I for one am shocked as to how the escalation took place last night. Surely, Iran would have known that US elections are around the corner with Trump likely to win on public backing. With Trump winning the US establishment that is currently running the country and taking foreign policy decisions would lose its strength and become inept. So why not wait for one more month, what was the hurry in attacking? There have been a number of high profile assassinations and repeated threat from Israel but why cave in one month before US elections? Something just doesn't add up for me here. Iran's war-gaming have been on point for the last year or so as they were doing the mature thing of waiting this out but last night there was a significant lapse from their end and Iran should do a thorough examination as to why it did fire rockets. It could be some Mossad agents are now implanted within Iranian regime and it would be good for Iran's long-term future to find these culprits and deal with them. Needless to say I condone this attack.

As far as Israel is concerned they always loved playing the victims and will do so now as well. Pretty sure the Israeli guy launching rockets have a tear in his eye while striking civilians in Gaza or Lebanon given he has been a victim over the years. Israel is going to increase the attacks and there will be a significant move from their part to alter the geographical borders in the region.

Will Israel attack Iran? Yes. Will US assist in this adventure? Yes. Will Iran have a similar fate to that of Iraq? Maybe Yes. Iran's long-term survival will now be dependent on how the region behaves. They will be relying on likes of Qatar to have West fended off from economics point of view. They would be reliant on Turkey and Pakistan to not get involved in the conflict and do not give bases to US or Israel to launch ground invasion of Iran. They would also be dependent on Russia to strike gas and other deals to be actively involved in the conflict should US interfere. Lastly, they would hope that China gets somehow dragged into this as well as China has now started investing in Iran to expand their distributions. Lastly lets not forget that Iran is nuclear armed and if US/Israel push Iran too far into the corner with nowhere to go then its likely to be a nuclear fallout which will have significant implications in the region.

My 2 cents on this.

That's nothing new, western nations policy to 'stand with Israel'. Basically they all have to fall in line with Amreeka.

But you will find that a lot of population in UK is against the baby killers.
That's all British Pakistanis can do. Stand against Israel, and at the same time also pay taxes that contributes to Israel's cause.

Gazan buried as only known victim of Iran’s missile attack against Israel

A 38-year-old Gazan, the only known fatality in Iran’s missile attack against Israel, was buried on Wednesday, witnesses said.

Sameh Khadr Hassan al-Asali had been staying in a Palestinian security forces compound in the occupied West Bank when he was killed by falling missile debris during Tuesday’s attack, which Israel said was largely thwarted by its air defense systems.

Around 700 workers from Gaza have been staying in Jericho, in the Jordan Valley, since the start of the war in Gaza almost a year ago.

Unlike Israelis, who went into bomb shelters after warning sirens sounded across the country, many Palestinians in the West Bank went out to watch the missiles and observe the explosions as they were intercepted by the Israeli air defense.

Video footage taken from a CCTV camera showed a large metal tube falling out of the sky and landing on a man walking across a street, apparently killing him instantly.

Reuters was able to confirm the location from the road layout, buildings, utility poles and markings on the ground which matched satellite imagery of the area. The date was verified by a timecode.

The missile attack by Iran marked a potentially dangerous new phase in the war, which was triggered by the Hamas-led assault on Israel on October 7 last year and followed by an Israeli invasion of Gaza and which has since spiraled into a wider conflict now threatening to draw in Iran.

The Hamas attack on October 7 prompted the Iranian-backed Hezbollah group in Lebanon to fire a barrage of missiles against Israel, and the two sides have been engaged in daily cross-border fire ever since.

Over recent weeks, the conflict has flared seriously with Israel conducting the heaviest airstrikes against targets in Lebanon since the last war in 2006, and Hezbollah firing hundreds of rockets and missiles at Israel.

IDF says airbases suffered only minor damage in Iranian attack

Some more details now on the impact of Iran's attack on Israel yesterday.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) says the Iranian air strikes on the country last night caused no damage to aircraft, drones or critical infrastructure, despite airbases being hit, Israeli media reports.

According to Israeli media, the IDF says two civilians were hurt by shrapnel but no major injuries were sustained as a result of the attack.

'A huge miracle' no one was hurt by Iranian missile attack on school
The rector in charge of a primary school in central Israel hit by an Iranian missile last night tells me it feels like "a huge miracle" that no one was hurt in that strike.

Several hundred children at Shalhavot Chabad school, in the town of Gedera, had stayed late for a Jewish New Year celebration which ended around two hours before the attack, Rabbi Rafael Brod says.

The wall of the school building collapsed under the impact of the missile, destroying classrooms and an indoor play area.

"When we saw the damage, we were afraid to think what could have happened," says Rabbi Rafael, who later rushed to the scene.

He is concerned that the mental toll on some of the pupils may be "challenging", as he says many of them live metres away from the school and heard the impact.

The school plans to reopen on Sunday, after the festival of Rosh Hashanah.

Inspired by their religious beliefs, the plan is not only to rebuild the existing site but also to build another one, Rabbi Rafael says, in order to "create new light out of the darkness".

I am sure you are being sarcastic here but still I would like to point out to the benefit of all that Iran and Iranians seem to be the only ones standing up to Israel. All other Muslim countries have clearly given up.

And it is a sad situation because like what happened to Bosnians, same happens and has been happening with Palestinians and Uyghurs and the Rohingyas. There seems to be zero action unless the interests of a certain countries are involved.

What is the point of having a United Nations go earning body when they are merely a puppet.

To be fair they fired whatever they had. Israel will take all its sweet time to make a precise hit which is going to hurt for generations. Make my words this is what the Americans have been luring Iran into for decades and it’s the exact moment they always dreamt of. See the sense of calmness in the Israeli and American camp right now? They literally got it this time.

This is no miracle. Iranian missiles are weak and misguided. This was a face saving attack from Iran to show its supporters that Iran is doing something.
I am sure Iran very well knows what will be coming their way soon.

Do not, I repeat, do not start a war that you can't dominate or finish. Hamas not only signed their death warrants on 7th October last year, but they also gave Israel the liberty to kill Palestinians anyway they want to.
There is no need to reiterate your point. We all understood it the first time and chose to move on because your reasoning for that comment was clear enough. You've emphasized it far more than necessary. It's evident that Pakistani and Indian Muslims have driven you to align with Hindutva extremists.

The conflict didn't begin on October 7th. The people of Palestine have been reacting to ongoing aggression, just as the Polish reacted decades ago. The oppression has been happening for 77 years. And what about October 6th, 5th, and so on? Just because the mainstream Godi media in India didn’t cover it doesn't mean those events were fabricated by Pakistani and Indian Muslims.

If Princess Diana were alive today and condemned Israel's occupation, ethnic cleansing, and illegal settlements in accordance with the UN's stance, would you now be a staunch monarchist simply because she spoke in favor of Muslims?

And if Bhagat Singh had feared death, he might have faded into obscurity instead of becoming a catalyst for India's fight for freedom. Yet, if he spoke up for Muslims today, many of you would probably label him a Khalistani.

I’m grateful that Hindutva ideology was a minority during the struggle for independence against the British Crown.

I pity Iranian people. The dictatorship has put them in such a terrible situation they can literally hear the clock tick because they know what’s coming.

This reminds of the movie Troy. When Hector knew Acheles was coming for him with vengeance and he was a dead man. The whole of Troy knew. Only difference is Hector was an actual man of honour and a true warrior unlike the coward Iranian regime.

Kremlin calls for restraint

The Kremlin says the situation in the Middle East is developing in an alarming direction and called on all sides to exercise restraint.

“This situation is developing according to the most alarming scenario,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters. “We call for restraint by all sides against the backdrop of what is happening. And, of course, we condemn any actions which lead to the deaths of civilians.”

I wonder how Taliban still quite?

It's time to install a proper democracy in Iran. The people must prevail.

I have so many Iranian friends and they’re some of the warmest, Bharat loving people there can be and they all absolutely hate the dictatorship.

The Iranian women are so educated and nice. The moment they leave Iran, it’s an opportunity for them to enjoy life and they make the most of it.

The dictatorship in Iran and its people are two completely opposite entities

How might Israel respond to Iran’s missile barrage? Here’s what we know

The Middle East is edging ever closer toward a full-blown regional war as Israel vowed to respond to Iran’s huge barrage of ballistic missiles fired at the country on Tuesday night, capping a day of dramatic military escalation in the region.

“Iran made a big mistake tonight - and it will pay for it,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said hours after the unprecedented attack.

Iran launched a salvo of about 200 ballistic missiles at Israeli military targets, its largest ever such attack, sending sirens blaring across Israel and activating the country’s sophisticated defensive systems.

Iran’s leadership said the attack was intended as a warning to Israel not to enter a direct war with its longtime enemy, and any Israeli response to the barrage would be met with “stronger and more painful” blows.

The escalation came about 24 hours after Israel launched a ground war in Lebanon to go after Hezbollah, a powerful militant group that is backed by Iran, and days after Israel killed its leader Hassan Nasrallah in a strike on Beirut.

Regional war widens
Tuesday’s attack has further changed the dynamics of the conflict, transitioning from a war involving Iran’s proxies toward a direct confrontation between two regional military powerhouses.

An Israeli military source told CNN several Iranian missiles struck Israeli military bases during the attack, but insisted there was no major damage to the facilities.

It’s the second time Iran has launched an aerial attack on Israel this year, but Tuesday’s barrage was of a different magnitude.

In April, Iran launched a large-scale drone and missile attack at Israel – the first such direct assault on the country from its soil – in retaliation for a suspected Israeli strike on an Iranian diplomatic complex in Syria.

It's time to install a proper democracy in Iran. The people must prevail.

There are going through shocks and panic still as Israeli terrorist military camps have been flattened and missiles reached surrounding of Mossad HQ. Israel, West and Hindudva Fraands have been completely shocked by the massive drops of missiles, you guys need to check out those pretty hundreds of videos circulating of IDF terrorist camps getting bombarded, they are hiding it obviously as that would make a mockery of them but footage are all out there to see.

They weren't expecting Iran to respond and Iran has humiliated their iron dome, they are no gorilla fighters and will wipe off terrorist Israel if there comes a need. Iran has every right to defend it's sovereignty and stand for the Palestinians

More and more seems like Iran is a Trojan Horse, If Israel hasn’t stopped the onslaught in south Lebanon what was the point of Iran doing what it did?

Most of the actual Pakistanis like myself couldn’t care less about this conflict because we don’t have a dog in this fight. We have no connection with a Palestine or Israel to take sides.

Those who do only provide lip service and will do some useless boycotts like abstain from Coke, Pepsi, McDonald’s etc. that is about it.

Even our media is not particularly interested and vested in this conflict.
