The fact that there is so much noise to me about Kharg indicates to me that Kharg is not the target. It's not defensible as it's a very flat island and currently has no defenses against missile or air assault.

This war is going to be won on the Straits of Hormuz. Either Iran holds it or our armed forces shove the Iranians off the Straits at which point the Iranian regime will be forced to sue for peace.

I doubt it's the plan, but it would be easy to simply bomb Kharg and leave the Iranians without the ability to pay for more missiles and drones.

I think the Pakistani military is silent because all the CPEC supply chains are running through Pakistan and onward to Iran and they're getting paid for that. The Chinese investment in Gwadar as a direct access to the Indian ocean is proving wise. After this war is over it's going to be the only way Iran can export oil unless they can convince Trump to back off (he's not backing off).

USbisbeinning militsryw ar decisively and pulverizing Iran..there is 0 comparison to what Iran is retaliatnf and what is has done. But since this was a useless war that is not needed and Iran is hitting the economic choke points and it has political fall outs...us is losing the political and economic war. If they want boots on the ground...us will destroy Iran but they will take heavy casualties. That's the reason he wants a ceasefire and Iran has nothing left to lose beyond the regime.
In the same way they destroyed Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan? Where they left humiliatingly?

For the first Iraq War, the US took 6 months to amass the troops to mount a ground based attack. Iran is much bigger and more dangerous than Iraq with Russian and Chinese backing, so they'd need 3 times more forces.

Let's assume you understand logistics and are not a total ignorant armchair troll. How do they amass they volume of troops and set up the communication and supply lines in the next 12 months? I'm not asking if the US can defeat the Iranians militarily, I'm asking you to answer the simple question of logistics.

What by the way is the American goal with this war?

If it was to destroy or capture the nuclear material - Fail
If it was to destroy the Iranian military, air force and navy - Fail ( planes are getting knocked down, the army controls the country and the US are hiding their carriers 500 miles away)
If it was to have a regime change - Fail (One Mullah has replaced another and he's more hardline).

On top of that:

The gulf states have realised US bases are not protection but rather bait so Fail.
The Strait of Hormuz is closed and causing huge economic problems everywhere so Fail.

This entire war is a catastrophic FAIL.

If you love Iran, go to Iran - Pakistan army chief Asif Muni issues stern warning to Iran lovers in Pakistan
Pretty stupid statement. It's not love for Iran, rather a liking and a preference to the evil on the other side. If everyone did go, then there'd be no one left in Pakistan for these guys to rule over.

War has been a failure for USA. The whole point of them getting involved was regime change. Otherwise Israel could have bombed instead. Iran lost too, there’s nothing that can be gained for them this war.

The Arab gulf nations obviously lost due to economic hits and being involved in a war they didn’t even want. Qatar especially.

Israel is probably the happiest party which would take any chance to get rid of Iran’s military/weapons even without a regime change. And Israel hasn’t faced much casualties. They don’t care about whether or not annihilating Iran’s military totally or not. They’d take even 5% happily, anything is good enough for them even if more the better.

The war shouldn’t have happened but I’d much have preferred USA to stay as the negotiator. If Israel bombed USA tells them when to stop. The fact USA has actively got involved is creating this disaster situation where a ceasefire is difficult. And even Israel think they can now run amok like the oil fields attack because USA is involved too.

It was a two and a half hour meeting, and people are picking out a five-second clip and acting like that explains everything.

What’s also was being discussed during the meeting was some Shia ulemas was pushing the to get involved in a wider war, even talking about using missiles against Israel and the US.

If anything like that ever happened, the response would be massive. So the real question is are Pakistan actually ready for a long war over something that isn’t even our issue?

it would affect ordinary people, the economy, safety, everything. Lives would be at risk, and the country could face serious damage we have already seen what's happening in Iran.

people expect Pakistan to step in everywhere, but how many times has Iran supported Pakistan vs India? where were Iranian missiles vs India last may?

also are the Pakistan people ready to risk their lives and their country for Iran who has never ever supported us in anything?

Trump threatens to 'hit and obliterate' Iranian power plants if Strait of Hormuz not opened in 48 hours

President Donald Trump said the U.S. will "hit and obliterate" Iranian power plants if the Strait of Hormuz isn't opened within 48 hours

"If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!" Trump said in a post on his social media platform.

The largest power plant in Iran is thought to be the Damavand Combined Cycle Power Plant — which is located in the outskirts of the capital city Tehran.

Iran has effectively blocked the Strait of Hormuz -- a narrow waterway off Iran’s southern coast that normally handles about 20% of global oil consumption -- since the start of the war.

Trump's post came as he floated on Friday that he was considering "winding down" the U.S.'s military campaign, claiming the U.S. was "very close to meeting our objectives."

Trump also said Friday that the U.S. would "help" Gulf states secure and police the Strait of Hormuz "if asked."

What a meltdown from these child killers. Iran should hit them harder and get them taste their own medicine.
How many more of these Arad type missiles do they have?

Looks like the ACE cards are out now. Isreal did this to themselves.

But But Trump said "The Strait of Hormuz" route was under control.

Obviously more lies from the Epstein 🤡

Iran now in a position of surrender after Trump's threat to attack biggest Iranian nuclear Plant
And Iran will attack in kind and on and on it will go.

Trump is trapped in his own foolishness. Lashing out to get out of the war.

Crypto will head to the floor if every infrastructure across the middle east is destroyed.

Part of the plan. Everything needs to be destroyed, yet people are foolish to see this!

Don't think any of the people in those buildings that were flattened ordered this.

It's a real shame seeing this play out. Innocents suffering all round.

There are no innocents in israel every single one of them is a settler and equally responsible for what Palestinians have been going through over the years

Bro those people that were born to settlers or are now third generation didn't chose to be there. To them it's normal. They have also grown up and been essentially brainwashed that unless we kill others first they will conduct a holocaust on us. Some religious elites Christian and Jewish Zionists seeking messiah have held so many people hostage

It is a complex situation with no end in sight.

I would agree with you if Netanyahu was some sort of dictator and these people are living for years powerlessly under him. But no - he is democratically elected and one look at the Israel Reddit will tell you that their people and society have been corrupted beyond hope, especially since October 2023.

Just as collective punishment is a war crime, collective blame isn't good either.

Yes the majority of Israelis support the genocides but it's around 80%, 20% do not.

In the last Israeli election, Netanyahu and his bloc won 50.5% of the vote. His own party won 23% of the vote. Of course, the first past the post system meant that the bloc achieved a clear majority in the Knesset but I think it shows how deeply Israeli society is divided on the issue.

This is not to say that Iran should be restrained in it's response. Israel is making minimal effort to avoid civilian casualties and that's all Iran owes to Israeli civilians as well.

It does mean however that it's absurd for us outsiders to be calling Israeli civilian deaths well deserved. This is a complex and history-laden conflict that shouldn't be seen in black and white.

But it's not like the opposition to Netanyahu is divided at all - they are more of the same. Naftali Bennett's past track record and current statements are for all to see.

They are quite a radicalised population yes. It needs a lot of time and effort to untangle their population from radicalisation. Something like post apartheid south Africa. The board of peace had a plan for deradicalisation of Gaza, probably need something similar for Israel but they are the ones with the upper hand so it won't be implemented. But regardless it is not like the missiles do a poll and understand people's beliefs before killing them. Overall it is a senseless mess created by Netanyahu.

Beautiful clips of destruction of that genocidl terror state over Eid.... nice Eid gift. And Iran has said they will be using many more of these in coming weeks... Sweet in weeks time that tiny genocidl state won't be no more if Iran continues and doesn't look like they will stop. Absolutely loving Iran, what a brave bold nation who is standing for justice for the entire world. Viva Iran! Keep flattening that disgusting aparthied genocidl colonial European barbaric project

Funny how Israel always have massive casualties but never have any dead....dozens were buried under rubble and no dead? F*lthy liars. When's the new AI clip of Satanyahu coming out?

Considering how over 95% in Israel approve of completely wiping out Palestinians and expanding settler colonial project over other countries, they fully deserve this and what's coming to them. Also goes on to show why they were booted out over 100 times historically as no one wanted them around as they have done this to others throughout their existence.

No sane mind can sympathise with such a genocidal cult of a nation. Never expected in our lifetime we will get to witness such destruction of that genocidal terrorist hub of the world.
