Some really funny posts here..

The rubbish openers and batsmen (ok barring Taufeeq) have beaten windies in windies, kiwis in NZ, got to the semi final of the worldcup, had closely fought series against both England and south Africa!!

Lols and this post is even funnier.

Taufeeq is actually 50 % of the openers and you are talking about previous series and you forgot to mention the bowlers....

These openers are rubbish! If you don't see that then I can't help you much!

Ok Hafeez then!!

But call me madam immy of you like because I have crystal ball which tells me that everyone will slag off the middle order if they also score slowly!!

Johnston to Taufeeq Umar, 1 wide, the first ball after tea goes down the legside

Taufeeq's Strike rate 32
Hafeez Strike Rate 56

Excellent stuff from the openers.....They are not taking their time and are in a hurry to reach the target......

Ireland beat England and Egnland were certainly not playing tuk tuk cricket!!

A 9 or even 8 wicket victory with 5 overs to spare would be very good!

12.1

Mooney to Mohammad Hafeez, no run, huge shout for LBW, Hafeez missed a straight one and it looked plumb to me. The umpire says no.

how many times we have seen Hafeez miss a straight one and get LBW??? guess he got lucky here umpire was stupid

Pakistan coasting to victory here, 46 for 0 from 13 overs.

Hafeez and Taufeeq not taking any risks, just playing proper cricket shots.

None of the media are behind the bowlers arm, so no idea how the guy writing this up can say it was plumb.

but the point is, we have seen Hafeez miss the straight ball way too many times since his comeback and he's gotten out LBW as a result of it...he still hasn't rectified this problem

true! he got out like that alot in saf series bt from then on he has not got out like that often

we shld win it with 10 wkts and take the revenge of wc 07 defeat :inzi

:)) Radio Pakistan commentators are definitely getting their 'exclusive updates' from Cricinfo.

whats the weather forcast for next game guys? a full game with pak batting first will be great

lol he just got out a few times like that against WI especially in the test series...

Last dismissal was caught in the slips!! I don't recall him missing a straight delivery to be out lbw in the entire west indies series!!

Roach had Hafeez LBW in the 2nd innings of 1st test where Professor missed a straight one...

55 for 0 in the 17th over

No trouble at all for the Pak batsmen

Someone has called up the Radio Pakistan programme saying that Shahid Afridi should not have been dropped and was a good captain due to World Cup performances.

Tafueeq shouldn't be in the ODI side . It's unfair to him and other players , he is ,was and will remain a test player . Poor outings in ODI's [inevitable] will get him kicked out of the test team again X_X . On the other hand Hafeez is hitting some good shots as usual ... waiting for his brain fart though . Apparently he has managed to prolong his inevitable brain farts from 20 runs to 40 runs on average which is A-Ok for Pakistani standards . Jee he plays some crackin' shots this guy , Always a delite to watch!

and thats it in the whole tour atleast there is improvement!!

real improvement would be when he stops playing across the line to straight balls which Hafeez does...that LBW to Roach was a result of him playing across the line...I don't know why he does that when he has shown he can easily play it straight...

oh come on he jst got out like that once
btw adat pr majboor

Ok so he was out lbw once and I stand correctede! What did you say in your above posts???

I am only highlighting the fact that Hafeez tends to play across the line to straight balls when he can easily negotiate them by playing straight...this way he'll eliminate that false shot and reduce the # of brainfarts he can have lol

60 for 0, easy stuff for Taufeeq and Hafeez.

Playing each ball on merit and getting match practice in. Ideal opportunity to improve one's batting average :)

Though one should ALWAYS look to improve , but for a pakistani opener making consistent 40's ;against every opposition; and the odd score above it . What more could you possibly ask :S

I just hope they haven't dropped Shehzad for good...for God's sake the kid just scored his 2nd 100 of the year against WI!!! hopefully he'll be back for ZIM series...

I am sure by day 3 lunch we will reach this target, what a phaaast chase

lol, with this batting lineup, we're never going to score anything more than 220

Why can't I just stop caring about Pakistani Cricket!?

And the torture ends! 23 runs from 62 balls at a sr of 37! what a player!

23.2
Jones to Mohammad Hafeez, no run, strayed onto the leg stump and hafeez clips it round the corner for two
wow!!
ok it is fixed now

hahah one wicket down and ....

Excuse me, I did not even know the wicket had fallen. And this is not a knee jerk reaction or something, like you are reacting to my post.

Look at this line-up, can't take singles, can't score quickly, will never accelerate. It's a long-running problem, I don't see how no one fails to see the issue of Taufeeq, Shafiq, Misbah, and YK (who's not just slow but also pathetic) in the ODI team.

Did the Irish bowlers trouble him?

Were the conditions not suited to his style of batting?

Did he have too much biryani at tea?

What was Taufeeq's innings about? No one will ever know.

:yk

We should win this.

why did they send in Asad Shafiq with only 22 runs to get? why not send Junior? FFS!!!!

Misbah probably thought the openers were too aggressive and wanted someone who could calm down the situation.
