A 50 followed by 3 straight flops (including a bad shot when we needed to save the MCG Test) still looks pretty bad.

I like the guy but he's far too inconsistent.

After 50 , there are two flops. Just a correction.

He just can't negotiate indipper at the start of his innings , be it from a spinner.

Well, he failed in his last innings is well.

His Test average is still closing in on his 38 FC average.

International cricket is not for cowards. In a post Younis and Misbah world, he will not be able to hide in the lineup. At the moment, he offers nothing, apart from a random, inconsequential innings after 5-6 failures.

Step up or step out, but he has the backing of Sarfraz and the PCB, which means he may well go onto become one of the most undeserving players to play 100 Tests.
