With the proposed 100-ball cricket and constant passing references to a T20 tournament during the commentary, it seems that ECB is pivoting away from Test cricket and focusing more on limited overs.

Discuss.

Yeah, right. They are just not very good at the moment so obviously they'll turn their heads to where they have been successful.

Surprised by the lack of backlash for their performances in the format. They could fall to 7th if they lose to Pakistan 2-0. That's pathetic for a country who prioritizes Test cricket and plays more quality Test cricket than anyone else in the world.

Test format is still England's favourite out of three. The issue is England is losing interest in cricket at a whole.

I think the veer onto limited overs is ECB's plan to try and get the younger guys/ children into cricket.

Think ECB's to blame, they sold cricket to sky sports taking it off free to air. And in general disregarded LOIs for a long time until they realised it was becoming to much of a part of the future.

The interest in cricket in the youth generation is an all time low. It's actually the British Asian youth population which is most enthusiastic about cricket, and they don't even tend to support England.

It's due to the lack of encouragement at grass-roots level and lack of freeview cricket in my opinion. In schools it's pathetic here. There hasn't even been a cricket team in any of the years I've been in high school, and this year I don't think I've played cricket once in school. I think the only freeview cricket available are the highlights on channel 5, which is just disappointing and sad.

England holds the record for the most hundreds in Test cricket as a team, followed by Australia.
