Pakistan and West Indies have opted to cancel today's scheduled practice session due to the scorching heat of Multan.

According to details, PCB said that today's practice session has been cancelled to protect the players from health-related problems.

The weather conditions have been a talking point in the ODI series because the temperature is on the higher side.

In the first ODI, umpire Aleem Dar was replaced by fourth umpire Faisal Afridi when he started vomiting due to the sweltering weather.

Remember, the series was initially scheduled in Rawalpindi but due to political tensions in the capital, it was moved to Multan.

It must be noted Pakistan claimed win by five wickets in the first ODI of the series. The second ODI will be played tomorrow.

Pakistani labourers in the middle east world in much tougher, squalid conditions. Players and officials need to man up.

I sympathize with the PCB about wanting to host international cricket back home after being denied for a decade plus. Only Keyboard warriors will slam the PCB for wanting to play Cricket in Pakistan. What the PCB needs to be doing on a long term basis is to urgently find the funds, man power and develop stadiums in the cooler regions of Pakistan i.e. Abbottabad, Muzzafarabad, Balochistan, Gwadar, KPK e.t.c so that you can play Cricket there when its blazzing hot and humid in other regions of Pakistan.

Pakistani labourers dont have any option. They are poor prople that are forced into this to earn. That doesnt mean you become barbaric and force them to work in such conditions..

No one is gonna bother about this. And they picked multan out of all the places. Its one of the most hottest cities. They probably made assumption that because the carribean players live in such conditions they shouldnt have a problem.....

Anyways, once again we have seen how terrible as a chairman Rameez really is.

We can all complain here but i know nothing will ever happen. We have list A tournaments and different tournaments go on in such weathers and no one cares about the players health...this will continue to happen until some major tragedy strucks.

I think we have had this argument atleast 10 times now. Having matches in these areas are not possible due to security issues.

Abbotabad has one single main road. It is a major security threat for players. Kashmir is disputed territory.

Balochistan is itself a security threat along with kpk. Gwader is also as warm as karachi. Plus gwader stadium looks beautiful on social media, but i saw its map, and it only has one main road for hotel and stadium purpose from the airport.
