How can Bumrah throw?

1. People have no idea what "throwing" in cricket means albeit bending and straightening.

2. How it's literally impossible to hyperextend and then throw the ball.

3. Malinga has a more straighter action and didn't hyperextend but was NEVER called out in his career even though he had greater ability to chuck the ball by potentially bending.

If Bumrah is throwing then people need to redefine the rules of cricket and include hyperextension as part of the "throw".

He is NEVER going to be called as long as he is legal.

And not because he is Indian.

But because laws say so..

Because a bowler cannot be accused and tested every time sore, bitter jealous pakistani and Bangladeshi fans start lying.

Otherwise ICC will spend 99% time just testing bowlers.

And ICC is very clear that hyperextension is not checking and is not to be reported and tested. They are not going to change the rules for bitter Pak and Bangla fans.

They have already done this set of tests before which is why ICC rules are that hyperextension is not to be reported or tested.

Here's the actual timelines. There were already some bowlers with hyperextension but when akhtar burst into the world with his pace and unusual action a lot of questions were raised, including from jealous Indians.

Then ICC brought in a team of biomechanical experts and wanted to stop the chucking. The experts came to the conclusion that

1) It's a natural action and such players cannot pick and choose their actions, unlike those who chuck deliberately.

2) The arm bends backwards in hyperextension and causes a sling like action where arm bends backwards and straightens, which gives illusion of bending forward, but it's impossible to chuck with hyperextension even if the bowler wanted, as an arm cannot bend backwards, straighten, then bend forward and straighten in the same action.

3) The slinging action does give the bowler advantage as the pace increases and accuracy is also better. However it puts strain on other body parts like back making such bowlers injury prone

4)Apart from Akhar, other bowlers with hyperextension like RP Singh were part of the same tests.

5) The final recommendation from the panel was - hyperextension is natural and not in the control of the player, hence it's not chucking and players should not even be reported and tested.

This is the actual timelines and bowlers like bumrah has akhtar to thank for, because it's because of the testing done on Akhtar that current bowlers with hyperextension need not be tested.

Yes, and because of tests done on Akhtar by a team of biomechanical experts, who adviced ICC that hyperextension is natural, not chucking and in the future players with hyperextension don't need to be reported and tested.

So yes, it's thanks to Akhtar, cricket World understood what hyperextension was and how it worked.

And since that time not a single bowler with just hyperextension was every reported or tested

They don't. Ask any of these guys to explain Bumrah's "chucking"and all you'll hear is hopeless mumbo jumbo on BCCI 's influence and corruption and cheating and what not but not a single explanation on the rules and the physics of it.

And the clearest indication of their actual intentions is the bare fact that these allegations only surface when Bumrah wins a big game for India and the whole cricketing world is in awe of him.

Hyper extension has been throughly explained during shoaib akhtar testing, bumrah can only be tested if reported, he hasn’t been reported
