Bring back Shan Masood.
he's a type of batsmen who like to feel bat on to ball, and go for his shots.
has 20 fc centuries in domestic cricket, + a 100 vs south africa so is in the team on merit.
just needs to be given a fair chance to establish himself at this level and be more consistent , but would be unfair to be kicked out of team because of one test match so far.
He has played 8 test matches since jan1 2013 and average 28 .. Its not one test match we are talking about.
yeh i know but that is after a comeback
by that logic england should get rid of sam robson because apart from one knock , nothing of note
get rid of moeen ali as well then
and also get rid of cook since ashes been averaging under 25 and hasn't scored a century for over a year.
if we persisted with farhat for a decade and hafeez for a good 2.5 yrs then i think manzoor can be persisted for another 2 series's new zealand and australia.
He has played 8 test matches since jan1 2013 and average 28 .. Its not one test match we are talking about.
If azhar can open then we can bring in Akmal to strengthen the batting line up !
Indeed and it took moin khans arrival for Khurrum Manzoor to get in the squad. I can't decide who is uglier to watch him or Fawad.
And an even more solid relative, might explain his selection
He is still in the squad and whereas guys like afaq raheem hasnt been given any chances. Shan masood has connections and thats why he is in the squad.. at least farhat had stats to back him up.. shan has nothing at all.
Why not Azhar to open and Umar Akmal at 1 down which is his natural position.
Khurram has a poor technique which is not even good to play in Asia against an international side. Only good for domestic cricket.
My views exactly.
Does Umar Akmal play at one down in domestic?
Not only he has poor technique but also is way too irresponsible!!
Don't think selectors will persist with him.
I am ready to give him next 4 matches as well so that we are completely sure.
Who cares?Khurram Manzoor scored his 35th First-Class Century today, he now has the 2nd most FC centuries for an active Pakistani batter.
Most FC centuries by an active Pakistani cricketer:
Fawad Alam: 43 centuries
Khurram Manzoor: 35 centuries
Umar Amin: 33 centuries
Abid Ali: 29 centuries
Shan Masood: 28 centuries

Are you serious? Or did you just wake up?All 5 never got the chances.
I understand that, for many here, “giving players a chance” translates to only about three games, and from your posts, it seems you lean toward that impatient view. However, these players weren’t given the consistent opportunities they deserved in formats that suited their strengths. When developing talent, the key is to identify players’ formats and give them extended runs in those areas when they are in form and their peak. Unfortunately, this approach wasn’t applied here. Are you serious? Or did you just wake up?
He’s actually been very good in the two games he played. Tries to hit every ball like you should in T20 cricket. Age isn’t on his side, but he is leading the way and showing how you should play without fear. The way he batted in the National T20 Cup makes it more suitable for him to focus only on playing red ball cricket.
