6 times - Pakistan has qualified for the semifinals of T20 World Cups which is most by any side

They also have a very impressive Win-Loss ratio of 1.7

WI might have won the big tournament twice but they were strong only between 2012 to 2016 and mediocre elsewhere. Whereas, Pakistan has been a force in this format for most part of this format's history. They were average only between 2012-2016 and then when Miabah took over as the head coach.

Yes. There style of play is suited to this kind of cricket. Lot of their cricketers come from tape ball cricket which is fast paced and bowlers have to execute else you will get hit for sixes.

Misbah is a loser LOI player with defensive mindset. He took away the flair of Pakistan cricket when he was captain.

Misbah also was the best Pakistan batter in the first edition, but yes overall his batting style set the defensive mindset for many players.

It's trophies that count so already Windies are top and England been fairly good too. One win and one final

Read my first post that wrote here and you will know the answer for your question it is an inconsistent side however when God has approved it as a winner well that average side can achieve wonders

Theyre up there Think they have one of the best win loss ratios for all teams since day one

Pakistan between 2007-2012 actually had a world class T20 I side that was highly complete even by modern day standards. I read an article about this in ESPN Cricinfo.

Three questions
1.Do they have the most world t20 cups?
2.Do they have the best W/L ratio.
3. Do they have the most t20 legends(barring Chuckers)

If the answer is yes then you are right.

Strongest bowling team in T20 by a mile...
Lesser the number of overs, stronger the Green team...

If total number of wins is the criteria then yes, they are the greatest. if W/L is considered, they are amongst the top. If the WC is considered, we know they've won it once and have another chance now.

Tbh Pakistan should have had more T20WCs they've under achieved given the way they have dominated this format specially the 2010 and 2021 tourney we should have won it but nonetheless, ever wondered why Pakistan are successful in T20 of all the three formats the answer is simple Pakistan play more T20s than any of the format
Hence we've become a tukka team

Don't Forget Sialkot Stallions won 8 cups in a row but when they competed in CLt20 they were routed at the first stage

I think if there ever was a T10. Pakistan would win half of its world cups.

We are missing a broad-shouldered, flick-for-six hitter at the top and one at number 6. We also need three SKY type 360 degree hitters in the middle. Saim Ayub can be one of the SKYs, but he needs to bulk up.

Greatest T20I team that hasn’t made the final of a T20 World Cup since 2009?

1. Windies
2. Dunno maybe India but here opposition strength varies for each team so stats are not enough.
3. Not so relevant this in my opinion

Pakistan is up there but not sure if the greatest.

There is no outright greatest in this format. Many teams did well.

Pakistan, Srilanka and West Indies are in with a shout to claim overall best T20I side in its history.

Dont know if they are the greatest but surely they are the scariest because we dont know which Pakistan will take the field. the one which lost to ZIM or the one which demolished SA. This unpredictability is difficult to guage for opponent teams.

Greatest? This team is the worst to represent Pakistan in T20. They may have won today but I don't see them going any further in the tournament with their current approach.

There was a time when Pakistan had the most entertaining T20 team but this bunch are just boring to watch and don't inspire any confidence.

They might win the odd game but they are not a good team.

Not only that, the greatest side in the history of cricket.

Hope that clarifies everything.

I think Pakistan isn’t. We have never had an all round strong team. Never been the best in batting or fielding, probably not even been top 4 in those. But I think West Indies is mega overrated too, I don’t ever think they were consistently good at anything, even most bilaterally you’d have backed the other team to win. They just turned up at those world cups twice.

India, England and Australia are the sides who have consistently put up sides that were strong allround. They just haven’t won as many world cups as they probably ought to have done. India especially has mega underperformed, being one of the favourites nearly every World Cup, with strong sides on paper.

I do think you could make the case of Pakistan being the greatest bowling side of all time in t20s, which I believe we are.

Greatest sides have multiple cup winners and alot of world class players who overlap in the team like Australia with Hayden Ponting Lee McGrath Warner Johnson Starc Gilchrist

Pakistan in all their T20 history probably had Afridi Gul Ajmal Amir SSAfridi and maybe Babar as World class players with only the quartet having medals

Greatest sides have players who won it more than once and in a cycle like Real Madrid in footy 5 UCL b/w2014 to 2022
Modric Ronaldo Kroos Benzema Casemeiro Marcelo Navas Ramos Carvajal Isco all have won it more than once.

India, England and then Pakistan in that order. These 3 have been the strongest bilateral T20 teams of all time.

Six semifinals in T20 world cups.

In terms of sporting achievement, only Muhammad Ali comes close this Pakistani t20 team.

It's about winning tournaments.

Let's see where we are at the end of this tournament.

Hopefully it'll be a 2nd T20 World Cup win.
