Is Pakistan's 2024 ICC U19 World Cup team the best that the country has produced in the last 20 years?

They may not look out of place but I still think Ali Raza is around 4 years older than his official age and Zeeshan around 3.
No way he's 19. In that case everyone's age is incorrect this world cup. He looks far younger than most of the Indian players that must mean those guys are 20+?

Huh? Ali Raza definitely does not look 4 years older. Thats a ridiculous statement.

He is 3 years older not 4 according to his own video in the first page.

Might still play another worldcup as the leniency in ICC wrist test allow the guy up to 20.5 years old still eligible. So currently he is 18 and in next worldcup he will be 20

More like 24. Haider Ali and Wasim jr too were closer to 25 than 19 when they played in 2020.

Numerous other "problematic" examples.
Pak can’t field a player whose age is more than 20 because it will get caught in the wrist test so they field genuine 19 and 20 years old pretending to be 16 and 17 and some cases 15 as well. That’s about it otherwise they would have field Aimal Khan in this worldcup whose official age is still 18 and clocks at 145k , but they couldn’t send him because he is 21 in real life and would had got caught by ICC

So it is stupid to say Zeeshan is 24 and Haider Ali and Wasim were 25 ,

There is a reason why these 17 years old prodigies doesn’t play their 2nd U19 worldcup which in theory they can. But PCB never send them again because of getting caught in wrist test

Ahh yes wrist tests. Those that are discredited for being useless and inaccurate everywhere - FIFA uses the same for it's youth tournaments and gets clowned by every medical professional around the world.

Why Pak didn’t send Aimal Khan for the worldcup then? Still he is officially 18 and would have been the fastest bowler at the worldcup if he had played and plus he can late swing the ball both ways , would have been a nightmare for these kids.

I did say he was around 18/19. @Slim and @PakEngFan looks like my estimate was more accurate than either of yours .

Then why 17 years old players from previous World Cup are not playing this World Cup?

They already get their required exposure first time out, which is the entire point of the U19 world cup.

That's also the reason Naseem Shah didn't play the 2020 edition as he was already an international cricketer.
