Is PCB waiting for the PSL to finish before selecting a new captain for ODIs?

Well its seem like PCB is not in hurry to select a new

captain for odi team Or may be they are not confident in

sarfraz leadership quality and waiting for PSL to over to

Judge sarfraz captaincy which is why they are delaying

the captaincy announcement

If this is what they are thinking than they are making

situation difficuilt for themself and poor PSL for sarfraz

will raises more questions on captaincy for pakistan

side.They should announced the captain before PSL to

close the topic

Like a poster said above, theyre probably just wanting Azhar to resign rather than having to actually sack him which doesn't really make sense but that's the PCB for you.

I have to say that the biggest culprit here is Shahriar Khan, who is making life easier for himself. He has appointed couple of yes man; who'll keep the team united by backing trouble makers. Every here & there there'll be soft matches like the WI series in UAE to keep Azhar in job & learn captaincy.

Now, sacking Azhar means to accept that it was a mistake to appoint him from no where - SK & PCB's ego is too high to answer the obvious difficult questions. The best way was for Azhar to take own call & step down on personal grounds (which could have saved his ODI career - now, when he will be sacked, he'll lose his ODI spot) - but he has gone to Misbah's way - taking chance on PCB's elasticity.

Shariyar Khan is too old for that Post.

Exactly!!! It's very unlikely that PCB will change captain. If they were serious they would have done that already. Delaying time can only favour them

If Azhar doesn't get fired even after continuous display of atrocious captaincy then he never will be fired. We would just have to wait for him to hand over his resignation win he brings us to number 14-15 in the rankings.

Absoultley agree Misbah have strong backing from shehryar so why would he want to leave if their is no pressure on him

Seems like PSL is our last hope which itself is tamasha cricket , if azhar continues even as a batsman in odi side then its a loss for pakistan cricket.
