Is PSL more important than the ODI Team?

It took Lahore Qalanders one season to recognize Azhar's inability to captain. Why has it taken PCB two years to contemplate Azhar's failures as captain? Discuss the different approaches to handling the teams.

It just shows the incompetence of the PCB. Hopefully Lahore Qalandars won't even play Azhar as a player in this PSL. If they do play him at the start he will be dropped mid tournament considering all the good batting options they have. However with the Pakistan team, I expect him to be selected for a couple more ODI series.

Simple. LQ owner has money at stake. He doesn't care about favouritism or anything else. He will just want his team to perform. With PCB, the case is different. If you start deducting money from Sethi and Sheheryar's salaries on every loss, they would sack him too.

Azhar has to be the most out-of-blue selection for player and captain we have ever done, all because Misbah the saviour recommended his name. It's been two years since that decision and we are still suffering but nobody is willing to sack Azhar for his atrocious display as captain and batsman.

PSL are francises owned by proper businessmen, who know what they need to do to deliver a good product

PCB management on the other hand is run by a bunch of people who really haven't done all that much except be chummy with the current government.

No surprise PSL franchises are managed significantly better
