Is PSL the reason we have over a dozen 145k+ bowlers?

Because 4 years ago we have only Wahab , Irfan and M.Amir, M.Sami and Bilawal capable of hitting 145k+ but now it's well over dozen now , is PSL the reason for such talent?

I remember Majid Ali the light at the end of tunnel thread about a bowler struggling to hit 130k consistently and Bilawal Bhatti being Lance Klusner

PSL was never the reason why Pakistan had lots of 140+ bowlers in the past too.

Can we really call it talent when the bowlers are of Hasnain and Musa ability? It's a different discussion but the obsession with pace has yielded zero results for a long time now.

Who are these bowlers?

Please don’t include bowlers like Naseem who can max hit 145kph for 2-3 deliveries of a 5 over spelll

Who are these over a dozen 145+ bowlers? Its basically just Shaheen and Rauf. Naseem is useless, and Musa is an embarrassment. Hasnain has pace but no variety or brains.

I remember during Amir's ban we had Irfan as the pace attack leader. Dude could barely bend down to pick up the ball.

Junaid Khan delivered with an ageing Wahab the cupboard was bare. With Amir and Asif's loss, there was no succession planning.

Here is a list of bowlers who can bowl at 145+.

Shaheen
Harris (PSL)
Hasnain
Naseem
Musa
Daniyal (PSL)
Zahid (PSL)
Dhani (PSL-FC)
Zaman (PSL-KPL)
Dilbar (PSL)
Zeeshan Zameer
Sirajudin (PSL)

PSl has certainly played a major role but it must be mentioned that shift towards flatter pitches in first class has also encouraged managements to pick express bowlers.

I have noticed that posters here often get defensive whenever pace of Pakistani bowlers is mentioned. While there are other factors but still pace is the primary reason behind a fast bowler's success in intl cricket. A sub 140 kph in LOIs and sub 130 kph fast bowler cannot succeed in test cricket.

Pakistan is producing 90 mph+ bowlers right off the streets which is not the norm in other nations and certainly not something to be taken for granted.

If we can properly nurture these talents, we will have a lethal set of fast bowlers in few years time.

Love Pakistan's obsession with pace. It is what defines the country.

Once in a while, the pace will come with skill and that's a full house.

But even otherwise, so much color.

David Gower asking how bowlers who do so well in PSL are struggling in international cricket!

Not a surprise really…. There’s a world of difference between international class batsmen vs a domestic bully / retired international star looking for a paycheck

145 KPH bowlers who are dispatched to the boundary at 220 KPH. :)))

They have won us games and given us plenty of excitement.

Chill.

These days can happen in such conditions in t20.

Pace only isn't guarantee for success look at majority of great pacers and they weren't lightning fast it's skill discipline variation and fitness that matters most

McGrath Akram Pollock Anderson Vaas Gul none of them clocked over 150+

Noice philosophy.

Bowlers are THE reason we are competing 3-3 here.

Lol never blame outdated and pathetic thinktank who seems to be content with 160.

Pakistan were clearly short by 25 30 runs. On such flat surface bowlers need some cover then pathetic cuptan kept bowling pacers and should have given more overs to shadab

Bowlers are the only reason why pakistan is not 5 2 down.

Great list, I’d add Ihsanullah too, from Khyber Agency, who was quite impressive in that recent QeA trophy outings, outside pace has good height too (6’5’’-6’6’’).
