Is Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli relationship (or lack thereof) an issue for India?

Sometimes one can possibly read too much in defeats like the ones against Pakistan and then against Sri Lanka but to the naked eye, something seemed off for Sharma on the field today.

The most important aspect being the lack of visible support from Virat Kohli who when he was captain used to be so animated but was seen lost in his own world or appeared as not too bothered about helping Rohit when he probably needed some advice or a gentle hand round the shoulders.

Clearly Rohit is panicking under pressure but the experience that Virat has could easily have been brought to bear to help Rohit?

Virat's comments mid tournament also not conducive to this - seems to be in his own world also

Kohli was very animated. Go watch his reaction to Sri Lanka losing their openers.

Kohli doesnt need to help rohit. If rohit needs help kohli is righ there and he could ask for help from him.

Rohit has made weird indirect comments against kohli and he acts jealous against kohli aswell.

Rohit wanted the captaincy, well he got it. Him and dravid can do whatever they want.

It was funny to see kohli deciding to sit out the pak india game even though the cramps might not had been that bad.

Rohit is on his own, and now that he has decided to grab what he wanted he should also know how to swim

LOL

These guys play for their country and have huge pride in that. They are not like our paper tigers, winning back 2 back ICC trophies shows that!

Stay patient. It took a decade of close semi final knock outs/final loses, before the duo got the act together. I think, PAK may benefit in future if some one like sayim ayub is made as captain.

The duo already had 2 ICC titles each by 2013 where they had contributions.

Between 2014-24 Ind were still make KOs, not getting kicked out in the first round like Ghanta and Maualana
