I do kinda feel bad for Shan, he's not in good form and he's really digging in and showing a lot of guts in trying to fight his way into some form.

Of course, this being Pakistan it means that the guy who batted ages will get cussed out more than the other batsmen who were dismissed quickly :))

When has he been in form though :rahat

Imran Farhat had more merit as an opener than Shan Masood every will.

Farhat got unnecessary criticism for being selected. He was more capable opener than Masood,Shehzad and Hafeez

Farhat averaged 32 in tests Shehzad averages 40 Hafeez averages high 30s Masood is one of the worst top order batsmen in recent times even Faisal Iqbal is better.

Farhat played in tougher conditions more often than not.

Shehzad, Shan and Hafeez have predominately played in UAE/Asia. All three would average in 20s/teens had they played in bouncy/swinging conditions

Remember that kid in the Simpsons who yells "Stop stop he's already dead !" ?

That's where I'm at now with Shan Masood. We all can see his technical faults and repeated failures, nothing more to add.

Just hoping the selectors move on after this series. Get Azhar opening again and Imam-ul-Haq can be a third opener in the squad.

Except Shan Masood ain't going anywhere. Did you forget, he scored a fifty in this series? Even if he doesn't open in England, he'll be lurking around the camp for his impeccable PR skills and fitness routine.

Shan did wonderful job at Pallekelle by removing all shines of the ball.he did good here too, removed all cherry so Piche-wale Bar bar Thok sake.

We are in great position to win,if we not give single wicket to their new ball bowler.42 ball ke baad who log
Naya Ball lenge.

The pink elephant in the room. Average of 20.37 in the UAE over 8 tests; quite possibly the easiest place to be an opener is simply unacceptable. Surely Hafeez or Shehzad as much as I can't stand him have excellent records in the UAE are a shoe in over this guy.

Yeah I'm glad you fell short of blaming Waqar Younis for his selection. When the real culprits are your favourites Mickey and Inzi. No mention of those two in your posts.

Am sure shan will be picked for tour to england next year as he speaks good english and his fitness will be even better then now. His 2nd inns effort was pathetic to say the least. Anderson awaits his bunny next year

Good to know he worked hard and improved himself rather than just coasting for a spot in the team.

He has a really good attitude. Very hardworking and down to earth. No stupid celebration or controversy.

Credit to Inzi for picking him up for that SA tour when everyone wrote him off. He wouldn't have played if one of the guys hadn't gotten injured last minute. Was it Imam or Haris?

What a transformation. He is an inspiration for many.
