What's new

Is the English choking underestimated?

yes. But they were never ultimate favorites until this CT. SA were always billed as favorites to win any tournament.

92' and 17' are not chokes.

a choke is when you are in a winning position but you squander the opportunity. not for a single moment in the two mentioned matches did england get a really clear winning opportunity.

heck the 17' game has to be one of the most one-sided games i've seen in recent memory right next to the ind v pak clash in this very same tournament.

What's ironic is that England one tournament won (2010 t20 WC) was mainly down to two South Africans, KP and Craig Kieswetter

England and their underrated ability to Choke

Credit to Pakistan no doubt but anyone else think England are undercover massive chokers? This time round it was against the 8th ranked team when they easily had the strongest batting in the tournament, @ home against an 8th ranked team. Regardless of how strong the ops' bowling was, this was poor for a team consisting of Root, Bairstow and Buttler. (I'm also a big fan of England!)

Not to mention CT vs india, t20 vs Windies and etc. They seem to hate having the favourite tag.
