Is the loss to New Zealand a blessing in disguise?

This loss was a blessing in disguise. I think we can now get rid of Hafeez and Bilal before the SA series.

When we capitulated in Edgbaston, was it a blessing in disguise?
Or against WI in Sharjah?
Or against WI in Barbados?
Or SL in Abu Dhabi

These are just off the top of my head . .

You can get rid of Hafeez and Bilaal, but it won't help (btw, idk what Bilaal has done wrong since being inducted . . I think he has bowled well enough . . and if its because of his batting, well then . . the problem is not with him but the expectations that we and the team management have)

Bowling was fine! Batting screwed us over 2 times in 2 innings . . We got 2 opportunities in the same test match to put the game to bed . .

1. Leadership
2. Attitude
3. Mindset
4. Resource utilization . .

Till all of those 4 aren't above 70%, we will not become a consistent team! It's not a problem with this side . . it's a problem since I have started watching Pak cricket . . since the mid 1990s

No bad then sri lanka whitewash,
If you don't put player's on merit and destroy there careers on like and dislike i know this is not first defeat many more to come until it sport run by morons....

Imam, hafeez, bilal, and satfraz are they on merit ? also asad and azhar are bad in domestic

No , this has been going on for years now. Pakistan management is too obstinate to do anything.

Lol. We are always blessed to have so many blessings in disguise

How many blessings in disguise do we need? It was a reminder that Inzi is a rubbish selector overall. Not selecting another spinner, sticking with Hafeez, no back up for specialist captain. Embrassing decisions.

Sarfraz and Arthur should also take some blame for the defeat. They should stand up to Inzi when it comes to not selecting a specialist spinner.

Blessed to get blessing in disguise so frequently.

Lol I was going to ask can someone make a list of all the 'Blessing in Disguise threads this forum has had

Bilal and Hafeez were going to be dropped anyways for SA tour, we didn't need a loss in a home test against NZ for this.

Yes if Sarfraz and Hafeez were to call retirement but this is Pakistan cricket. Follow the footsteps of the 45 year old. The challenge is who can make to 50 first.

Blessing? Pakistan is not Bangladesh, they have been playing tests for 60 years now. They don't need blessings.

Bilal and Hafeez should be dropped. But that is not going to make any huge difference as Pakistan are not more than just a mediocre team.

Another blessing in disguise for Pakistan after an embrassing loss, might as well claim a moral victory.

LOL!!! Nikhil_cric is the culprit for many of these 'Blessing in disguise' posts. Last I remember he's an Indian fan and was probably trolling

Hafeez is not going anywhere.

Bilal Asif was a one trick pony and I maintained that view after I saw him being ineffective in the 2nd innings of the 1st test againt Aus.

Asif needs pace and bounce on the wicket to be effective. He becomes easier to handle when the pitch gets slower. I am pretty certain he will look more dangerous in India

Yeah I think you're right. He gets more top spin so his bowling should suit Indian pitches.

But the thing is, Pakistan is very unlikely to play a test match in India any time soon. And I don't think Pak will field 2 spinners on SENA tours.

So really, in looking for a 2nd spinner, the management should pick someone who is equipped to bowl his best on UAE tracks.

Although, I should add that I think Bilal has looked like a pretty decent spinner. And he literally just played his 3rd match. It would be criminal to drop him so soon.

I am not sure how an epic squandering of a winning chance is a blessing in disguise. This match was Pakistan's to lose after first innings capitulation of NZ. If Pakistan chases in 4th innings you never know what might happen. Best bet for them is to defend a total in 4th innings.

As fans we get the blessings in disguise every other month but the people in charge are oblivious to everything. I understand that we can't change and chop every series but it is criminal to drop someone like fakhar and his exclusions demand an answer from someone. Drop Babar for fakhar bc Babar is not ready yet.

No loss is a blessing and this one is certainly not. Pakistan have been losing such games for a while now and if they had to learn, they would have long time ago. The team selection and personnel has remained the same in spite of the past losses. What do you think will change now?

No other fans are as delusional as Pakistani fans and no other fans lie to themselves as much as Pakistani fans do.

Whenever we suffer a humiliating defeat, they console themselves by such mantra such as - blessing in disguise.
